boot smelled bad! I noticed the sole of the boot was Filthy. Then I noticed hair all over the outside of the black fabric liner. Then looking in the boot liner, there was an impression of a foot and a bunch of powder!!! GROSSE!!!! I almost gagged. Someone's very used medical boot with foot powder and hair and smelly was sent to me as new. unreal. returned immediately.

Bulky but worked for plantar fasciitis. The sock worked better for me, this boot was too cumbersome.

We are surprised at how well this boot held up.Price was decent, compared to what our deductible was! I bought the same size as in the drs office, and this one is a tad smaller but it’s for my daughter’s foot and she’s in between sizes so definitely not the boots fault. Maybe buy one size up from what the Dr sizes. And the additional padding was a nice surprise. And it provides additional protection on the top of the foot and alleviates the pressure from the straps on her broken toe. I would recommend this boot if you are unable to get the medical grade boot (deductibles are outrageously high) It definitely is doing its job! And my daughter actually wears it and says it’s comfortable for the most part. It also comesWith the pump for air the Dr recommends to keep blood flowing properly. It is easy for my 9year old to pump it comfortably and has an easy push “button” to release the air pressure when necessary.

My insurance didn’t cover a walking boot, instead they only covered a “shoe”. The shoe was making walking painful with a 5th metatarsal break. But I can’t lay around all day, it’s just not possible. While this was an out of pocket expense for me, it has been so worth it. The curve on the bottom of the boot allows me to move more freely and with stability. The pump hugs my foot just right to keep the bones in place. So glad I invested in this, as I’ll be in a boot for 2 months.

I was going to get the United Ortho brand but didn’t because they posted 2 different sizing charts so I felt uncomfortable guessing which size to go with. I chose this brand because of the certainty of fit and I also liked the fact that the air pump seemed more durable and the release valve was built in so no risk of losing a vital component. I’m 5’10” and 196 pounds. I wear a size 9 1/2 boot so I went with the Medium as per the chart. Fit is perfect. I have about 1/2 inch between the tip of my tows and the tip of the boot. I would say I have a medium to narrow foot but this boot has plenty of width to accommodate a wide foot. I have Achilles tendinitis and after struggling for a week with various wrap and lace type ankle braces, I decided to buy this and noticed great improvement after the first day. It’s also much easier and quicker to put on and take off because you aren’t having to struggle through shoe laces and weird straps to wrap your foot a certain way. You set your foot in and you know exactly what straps go where. The air bladder seems to hold the air all day for me. I can’t say for sure because I’ll wear it pumped up while walking but when I sit down in my office I like to deflate the boot and air it up again when I have to walk again. The curved soul definitely helps walking, or in my case, limping much easier. The boot feels a little heavy at first but I got use to it in about an hour. This was to be expected given the heavy duty support it offers. I highly, highly recommend this product. If you are suffering from Achilles tendinitis, don’t even waist your money on the other crap out there. If you don’t get this exact boot, at least get a full boot brace like this. It’s worth every penny. One other thing to mention. I’ve been using this boot with crutches for what it’s worth. I occasionally walk with this boot without crutches but that’s just when I’m cooking in the kitchen or walking short distances like around my car or across my living room or something.

This has been a great boot for my ankle injury recovery. The velcro is quite noisy when fastening/unfastening but it does grip well and hasn't budged at all. I really appreciate the air cushion, as my injury has healed and swelling has gone down the boot still fits tight and my foot doesn't slide around when I pump it up.I find it easiest to get the right snugness and fit when I put this on when sitting on the floor or have my heal propped up so my foot slides back into the heel of the boot fully assisted by gravity. Then strap it on and pump it up before getting up.Daily wear for almost 3 months now, holding up great.I put a thin grocery bag or ziplock over my sock inside the boot when we went to an outdoor event in wet weather - with the air pumped up I still didn't slide around but my foot stayed dry.It is about a half inch to an inch more off the ground than my tallest soled shoe so it's a bit of a hobble but better than reinjury.I wore this on my driving foot and was able to drive my full size suv with care, plenty of foot room in my vehicle so your milage may vary. But I was pleasantly surprised because I thought I'd have to drive with my other foot for awhile. The inner air/sock layer is removable and could be washed. Probably would want to hand wash so you don't damage the air bladder but idk what the manufacturer recommends, I didn't save the package.
