It’s not a bad unit. But ..I would pull one of the zeros off behind that 5000. Running 2-15’s 2-12’s and a assortment of horns. In the practice room, not bad.. anything more than that you might need to kick it up to a Crown /Peavy Mackie ect. I had a Pyle around the same style of this unit halfway up is equal to this at 3/4. So it’s light duty. in the practice room it gets it done. It will clip easy. If you’re using it for practice studio, I wouldn’t be afraid of it. We’ve been using it for a few months and it’s great.. when it comes to power amps you can’t beat the price of this thing. Application depending.

Lo Ășnico que no me agrado mucho es que es un poco ruidoso por los 2 ventiladores que traepero es entendible porque es un aparato de potencia! XGA-3000

The positives:* I have owned over 10 amps so far.* This unit is by far is the best to date.* Sound quality is superb* Low noise though system at idle (very important)* Matched to the correct speakers, it will ROCK OUT*I now rock 2 Gemini amps,*I will say adding a proper EQ really adds quality. -However don't go cheap! I purchased Rockville EQ's and it was a waste. They produced a hum at idle that drove me nuts. Now running all DBX EQ units. Far superior!----the negatives:* I purchased this to replace a similar wattage unit, should have done it sooner* The weight of the unit, but what do you expect form a pro amp?* Does not fit well in a standard rack setup. I wanted it on the bottom due to its larger size, however the way the rack ears are required it to be the higher amp in the lower case. Not a big deal, just a little thing* biggest negative is you don't have one!

Need a power amp? We did to run our passive monitors and this amp SMOKES! Not too heavy, has a powerful fan, and the great twist connectors. I had to buy new speaker cables to connect to it, but man, does it ROCK!!!! My only "complaint" is the fan is rather loud. But, when you use it you don't hear the fan, so "no harm, no foul." I heartily recommend this amp for anyone wanting a PA amp or even a stereo amp for a sound system. Great amp and a GREAT PRICE!!!! Gemini is on my radar now concerning sound equipment. Go ahead, take the plunge. You'll be glad you did!!!! PS. Don't buy an OPEN BOX amp. I did and had to return it for a CLOSED BOX one. OPEN BOX means that something is probably suspect with that one. CLOSED BOX is the ONLY WAY to go!

Lets begin with the most obvious... the fans are loud... how loud? think of an F-14 taking off from aircraft carrier deck loud. Useless if you want to listen to music in a quiet environment; louder than my loudest gaming PC...The 2000 W rating is probably in the miracle land, I think this is more like 100W RMS... maybe China watts? So, I tried to use the amp to play some clean guitar sounds, from music CDs... but oh boy... the classical guitarist sounded like he was playing through some distortion pedal added to their nylon string guitar... and this happened at any volume, and the audio signal is coming from a Behringer Xenyth 1204USB mixer, straight with XLR and no clipping or anything. This is into a couple of 8" Pyle 2 way speakers...At max volume its not much louder than my x2 100W channel stereo receiver, which on the same speakers they are crystal clean...So, do yourself a favor and buy a x2 100W stereo home receiver, it will blow this turd away.

Hi I'm Kman,When I first purchase the XGA-3000 I did a lot of research on the different lines of lower priced power amps. I am just starting my first mobile karaoke business and learned the right amp can be crucial to my set up. The Gemini XGA-3000 got great reveiws (4 stars), but almost as important published its specs on power to the speakers in dbs and rms. Anyway the following kinda stuff talks real loud to me:Warranty: 2 YEARXGA-3000True Power from the Professionals! The new XGA SERIES Professional Power Amplifier comes designed to deliver the maximum wattage and amount of power to any speaker. Each XGA amp is durable and lightweight, and offers an unmatched value in their class. With their powerful, reliable performance, the XGA Series amps easily handle any amount of usage and can deliver deep pulsating lows.Features: 3000 Watt IPP* High Power output to drive professional loudspeakers without clipping 2 x 150 RMS @ 8 ohms stereo 2 x 200 RMS @ 4 ohms stereo 1 x 400 RMS @ 8 ohms bridged Front-to-rear airflow and cooling fan for thermal stability and reliability XLR and Œ" (6.5mm Jack) balanced and RCA unbalanced inputs Limiter circuit switch for amp output protection Stereo, Parallel Mono and Mono Bridge Variable speed fan for low noise Comprehensive front panel indicators including signal, clip, protect 3 Speakon outputs for Channels A/B/Bridge 5-way binding banana plug channel outputs Bridge control switch DC output protection and Short circuit protection Frequency response 10Hz - 50kHz at 1.5 dB Ground lift switch Total Harmonic Distortion: Less than 0.1% Input sensitivity & Impedance: 0.77v Signal to Noise (20 Hz - 20 kHz) > 90dB Input Impedance: 20K ohms THD @ 20HZ - 20KHZ - 0.1 % Damping factor: >350 power, protection, clipping, and bridged LED indicators AC line fuse protection Thermal Cutoff Protection power up/down protection slow start protection 115/230V switchable Dimensions: 19 x 13.8 x 3.5 inches weight: 19.04 poundsWell I looked at a lot amps under $250 and this one had the rep and the specs I looked for-so I got it.My testing reveiw:I have it in line with my PC with 620G XHD, my CAVS DVD 105G-multi/CDG/USB-XHD/MPEG4/HDCD player, my Gemini MM-3000 3 mic/5 channel Mixer, and my Gemini PA-7000 PreAmp, driving two 15" KCH subs, four 8" mids, and two 8" singers floor monitors. So far I haven't turned the PreAmp OR the Amp up more than 1 o'clock and I AM GETTING SOME SERIOUS BIG AWESOME CLEAR SOUND WITH ALMOST NO DISTORTION. This is with it set up with a balanced 8 ohms per speaker setup side, so that's the lowest power setting of 150 rms. Of course I don't want to push it. For another $170 (or less)I plan to get another for output B on my PreAmp, for speaker upgrades to larger venues. That'a my review. For the money as a no frills Pro Amp I think it gets the job done great if you set up your system correctly and have a good mixer and PreAmp. 5 stars from me.Kman 4/16/11
