This is one of the only dual cd/usb rack mounts still available. I needed rack mounts for a studio setup not the Pioneer style table tops. I had a Denon from the late 90's but it finally gave out, it didnt play usb's either. I was hesitant with it being Gemini, always known as a budget brand but its been impressive. Its still new but so far I recommend it.

By no means Pioneer quality, but if you want simple play and scan are pretty decent.When loading the CD the first time you press play on Track 1 it skips a few milliseconds. You have to press again to play the track. Only happens when you first load. Then okNice display, LCD is clear and all functions work well with soft pad feel

Tal como se describe es un equipo básico, para mí un juguete para volver a reproducir los viejos CD y además con la posibilidad de usar USB haciendo mezclas basicas, bastante cumplidor, tiene buen sonido y un aspecto bonito. El precio (rebajado) me parecio justo para sus cualidades. Solo encontré un ligero "defecto" que no compromete su buen funcionamiento, como es que la pantalla de la derecha no muestra toda la información que si aparece en la pantalla izquierda, me refiero a una palabra (pitch) y el segmento del extremo-izquierdo de la barra de seguimiento, pero nada caotico. Por precio y la marca que ya ubico desde hace años como equipo semi-pro, lo considero bien.

This was purchase as a new component for a new sound system. It was very easy to learn it’s operation. Currently it’s not in a rack cabinet; the situation called for a taller operating cabinet than could be found online for only 4 items. It is used in a church and functions extremely well. We connect to the unit’s rca outs and into a mixer board with2 3 prong inputs ( I’m so new to this that I forgot the connection’s name. )

(Originally purchased from Amazon in 2016.)The new item was the Gemini CDS-2250i for $288 which I received on time for my next gig. Out of the nice freshly packaged box I plugged it in and tested all functionality and everything worked nicely. Mounted it into my rack system, everything worked perfect! Powered it up at the gig and all went well! I’m back in the saddle again.With CDs a dying bread it was hard to find this type of system, but Amazon had it. (Would recommend buying it new vs refurbished or used…for peace of mind.)

the item arrived without issue. after some use, it seems to work, OK, but there are are some things worth noting. the good: it is the size that i was looking for. it does play CDs. the bad: it is very slow to load. the jog wheel is too big. fast forward advancing through tracks is very, very slow. reversing through tracks is slow and there is no way to scroll backward into the previous track. the display is actually too bright for my taste, and the button layout is not very intuitive or that user friendly.immediately out of the box it has worked fine without any real major problems,but here are some discs it does not read.the USB feature means nothing to me.i really wish that the fast forward track searching was not such a joke on this unit.i also really wish that gemini would stop changing product designs to include USB MP3 and laptop versatility.not everyone is trying to be a laptop or thumb drive dj.the newer designed units are all in one, which is not the best for everyone.the product works ok for my needs, but it is not the best.
