The fans on this unit are LOUD. 76-77 db loud at one foot away. That is equivalent to the sound of kitchen faucet running at full blast into a pitcher of water. Go do this in your kitchen now, and see if you can stand it for two hours, before standing next to this amp for the same amount of time at a gig.The sound is ALMOST as loud from the front of the amp, too, because of the venting system. The amp DID work well, though, and I had no issues with the audio output or heat problems, but I had to return it due to the excessive fan noise.

Works pretty good, but lots of noise from the fan.

I had to return the first unit, as it shorted out immediately upon use. When I plugged it in, it emitted smoke and failed entirely. Fortunately, none of my other equipment was affected. However, the replacement arrived within two days, which was a positive experience.Performance:This amplifier is not close to its advertised 3000 watts of power. In comparison to my home theater system's amplifier, which outputs 300 watts, this amp performs only slightly better at full capacity. Realistically, it seems to deliver closer to 300-400 watts of usable power.Clipping and Speaker Safety:While the amplifier features a clip indicator light, it does not include true clipping protection. This means it can distort audio and potentially damage both your speakers and the amplifier itself if overdriven. To avoid issues, ensure your equipment operates within safe levels. Keep all signals in the green and avoid allowing the clip indicator to activate over +6dB, especially for subwoofers.Speaker Compatibility:This amplifier is best suited for 4-ohm speakers in stereo mode. It is not advisable to bridge 4-ohm speakers, as doing so stresses the circuitry and risks damage. When bridged, the amp operates at 8 ohms, so it is not compatible with 4-ohm speakers in this mode. For those using 4-ohm subwoofers, you can configure two in series to create an 8-ohm load, which the amplifier can handle safely. Additionally, this amp excels at pushing speakers to their excursion limits, so ensure your subs have at least 2–3 inches of excursion to accommodate its output.Build Quality and Thermal Management:The components used in this amplifier are entry-level and susceptible to thermal failure if improperly used. The cooling system includes powerful fans that operate loudly, resembling turbine engines. However, during regular use, especially in louder environments, the fan noise becomes negligible. These fans effectively manage heat, ensuring the amp stays operational during extended sessions.Final Thoughts:Would I recommend this amplifier? Maybe, but with reservations. As a budget option, it delivers adequate performance for its price range but lacks robust protection features. Proper setup and careful monitoring are essential to avoid damaging your equipment. Overall, I’d rate it 3 out of 5, functional, but with clear limitations.

The fans in this thing roar so loud it sounds like a jet aircraft taking off! Totally unusable in our church sanctuary; it's on its way back.

Amp was good out of the box. No problem with it. Produced a slight hum, but did not notice it in a noisy enviroment.

Solid, simple, and just as advertised. Had them unboxed and working in 15 minutes. Controls are easily accessible and feel right. Now, endurance will be the key. Will update as they age, but I don't see any worries. Thanks Gemini.7/20/2020 Update. Very solid and very reliable. Keep in mind it is 2000 W peak not 3000 W like in the description. They serve me well. As my system grew, I needed to upgrade but these drive my monitors with lots of room left. For the price, I am very satisfied in every way.
