Most of the items in this set work fine. I have to only give two stars because the brayer included in the set does not work properly. It is concave in shape instead of lying flat on a surface so it does not roll the paint on smoothly nor clean off excess paint easily. I don’t know if I just got a bad set. It was a Christmas present and I had already thrown the packaging away so I can’t return.

I love these little kits for myself and all the kids in the family. They are reliable in quality and act as a springboard for imagination. I own several different sizes and find them all fun to use creatively in my artwork.

I thought the styrofoam to create a stamp was a waste. Be better served with more paper

It’s a great little kit to try out this art form and see if you like it! But if you do you will definitely have to buy more supplies very soon cause you don’t get a whole lot. It’s fair for the price though!

This is a SUPER good deal for anyone trying out printmaking with a gel pad! You get so much for your money that it only made sense to me to purchase it as an introductory kit.I used regular cheap acrylics, instead of the little pots provided, but I'm sure they are fine to use as well, although it's addictive so you will run out of them quickly! (Cheap craft acrylics are your friend here!)I purchased the stamp kit, which came with a few sheets of foam that you could use to make whatever shapes you want, but I used larger background stamps I already had to achieve looks I wanted. Still, I will try with the foam, and instead of purchasing replacement sheets of foam (rip off,) just not some foam plates, cups, etc.The other materials included were great for trying out different techniques and I live their suggestions to use pretty much anything you find as an inprint (bubble wrap, leaves, scrap anything....

After watching tons of YouTube videos of crafters doing gelli prints and people making prints with their gelli plates I decided I'd bite the bullet and order a small kit to try it for myself. I ordered this 6x6 Gelli Printing kit thinking if I really liked it I would upgrade to a larger size later. After opening my kit and starting to use it. I briefly read over the instructions and went to playing as I've seen done in countless videos. Immediately I was hooked and within 30 minutes I knew I wanted a bigger plate. While this one works exactly like it's suppose to it is only 6"x6" and I wanted to make art on envelopes and letter sized paper. Within a few days I had already ordered me a larger plate from a craft store. However, if you just want to test the waters and get your feet wet I highly suggest a smaller one like this first plus it comes as a kit and everything you need to get started. If you've never seen a gelli plate used before I suggest you watch a few YouTube videos on the subject prior to using yours or purchasing one to see if it's something you are interested in.Great kit for the beginner and to get your feet wet. Works exactly as described.

The plate is ok to work with, but it seems like it's dried out and not as squishy as it should be. No matter the paint I use, or how quick I am, or how hard I press down - I am rarely able to get a nice 'pull' in the middle. (Any suggestions would be appreciated.)Upon opening the package for the first time, they included pieces of paper to practice with, some foam pieces to make your own stamps with, as well as some mark making items. There was one item for mark making that was kind of like yarn, but had fine and loose fibers running along either side of the string. Those fiber bits were everywhere inside the container, and I do mean everywhere. I spent the better part of 30 minutes trying to get those fibers off the plate, container, and other items. Could have done without that mess. Also, the instruction say to place the plate between two pieces of plain of white copy paper when storing, being careful to smooth out the paper making sure there are no air bubbles, then to wrap the plate and put on a flat surface. Mkay. But then it says not to leave/store the plate on an absorbent surface. After using the plate the second time, and still having issues with getting a decent pull, I keep the plate stored between the two plastic sheets it came it.After using it for a third time - with the same results as before, I went ahead and purchased another plate from a different brand/company - a much bigger one, for way less than this 'starter kit', and it works wonderfully. All in all - this is an ok product, however I will probably not buy from this brand again.

This was great to get all you need to experiment with this art medium! It’s fun to work with and has great directions and ideas of how to use it.

I like that the items come in their own box, however you are limited to the size of plates you put in there, the gel plate is good and clear and leaves a nice clear print, the brayer is easy to use and to take apart to clean, the paints are thick, but did knock me a little sick as they have a strong eggy smell, I wont be using them again after having a practice with them and it's actually put me off ever buying that brand of paint in the future, I have had paints like these before and the smell is usually with paint that has gone bad... for the price I expected more instructions on use as well.. would I buy another kit like this, No this was a learning curve as I purchased to try out the paints as well as having a fresh clean gel plate.
