I purchased two of these for my elderly parents who rely on a wheelchair. My dad is rather thin and would always complain about his rear end hurting after about 10 minutes while using his wheelchair. Now he doesn’t complain at all after an hour of sitting in his chair.

I had another one of these people lookalike seat cushions a while back. It's made of the same material, but is thinner and had some tearing since it was a couple years old. So, I bought this one to replace it.Overall, its a great replacement. I felt with my thinner cushion, I felt some pressure points after like 30-60m of sitting, but this thicker cushion solves that, adding more supporting for those pressure points.I hear some reviews complaining about the cover being too big for the cushion - I don't mind it. At least for me, its not overly large, and it helps to add a little leeway when it comes time to take it out of the cover to wash. I do wish the zipper was a little longer though.I'm not super big and pretty thin, so the size of the cushion fits me perfectly. But, I'd imagine this is too small for others.As a final note, I did try other seat cushions with this sort of honeycomb design, but being made out of 'Gel' instead. For those with heavier bodies, that might work. But for me, the material (which is different than the material for this seat cushion) is less "squishy" so I didn't really sink into it that much because I'm pretty light. But, it might be perfect for those that weigh more.

I bought this for sitting. I have sciatica. I thought 2" would work well based on the description. I also wanted it for my car. The 2" thickness was too high for basic needs and seemed to be too firm. Not as expected.

I had used one from this company that I borrowed from a friend for my sciatica problem. It worked quite well, and I love the cooling effect that it had. But I thought a little bigger one would be even better for me. But it is too big and too thick and has no cooling effect at all. So I need to send it back. But the product is so good that I will just have to try and figure out a smaller one like my friend had.

I’m a real latex pillow nut. I really wanted to love this pillow. Tried about a year ago and had to send back. Prime day was my chance to try again. I like a fairly firm latex and tried both the medium and firm king size. Firm was like a rock, as in rock hard. I gave up after a few hours. The medium was perfect, until it wasn’t. It was too soft and although felt good, at this price, I want perfect. It seems I’m stuck in the middle of medium with a touch of firmness. Maybe I’ll try again and just hope there are inconsistencies in manufacturing and I’ll get lucky and get a medium that’s just a tad firmer.

I live in a reclining stan-me-up chair night and day. I'm 97 yo. I sleep, eat, work and play on my laptop, entertain guests in my chair. A Gel cushion prevents me from getting pressure sores on my butt. a 1.6" thick pillow does well for me. This one, 2.4" thick, does even better. It's a must for anyone to enjoy a chair they sit in for long periods.

I lost a lot of weight, fat and muscle mostly, and my "sit bones" would ache after just a few minutes on a hard seat and about 30 minutes in the car seat.I tried others but they were too high (lifing me up by 50-70mm) or too small (uncomfortably felt the edges of the cushion under my thighs).This seemed just right ... it is large enough to cover the entire car seat and comfy chair, and thin enough not to lift me up to the car roof or leave my feet danglling in mid air.It is not light ... but reasonable... and certainly comfortable for me.Recommended for folk with "sit bone" aches.RTC

Im giving this product 4 stars instead of 5 because the quality is inconsistent. I’ve ordered 2 so far:The first one I ordered is perfect. Im sitting on it right now and it delivers everything it promises. I have hypermobility (my doctor thinks I have EDS) and have struggled with piriformis syndrome which causes a lot of sciatic pain whenever I sit.I sat on a cushion from a brand that rhymes with “blurple” and it was AMAZING, except for the expensive price tag. I scoured amazon for the closest affordable dupe and chose this one. The cushion is thick, comfortable, and cradles my butt bones and evens out the pressure of my rear end when I sit. I’ve taken it on airplanes, in the car, and when I’m sitting at work. It makes sitting bearable for me, so I can’t recommend it enough.Around 2 months later I ordered another one for my mom, but when it came it was much stiffer and not as comfortable. They might’ve changed the material that the insert is made of, but it’s nowhere as squishy as the first one I bought.So, if the odds are right and you receive a cushion like the one I got the first time, you’re in for a treat. If you receive a cushion like the second one I bought it’s not as good.
