Idk about these shears once I got them they wouldn’t close and once they did they didn’t cut I had to send them back and i decided to order directly from the Geib Company it’s self and I’m I got shears that work and with a warranty so maybe might be better to order direct from The Geib Company

My boyfriend has these and they work really well so I bought a pair for myself. Didn’t even get a chance to use them because when I was looking at them I noticed a chip in one of the teeth. We will see how the next pair looks.

If you want the quality of Geib you won't get it from this re-seller.

Unfortunately, this pair of shears was not “awesome.” Love the size, but do not love the tension screw because it seems to loosen unusually quickly. Not sure if this is a defect as it’s my first pair of Geibs, but I will say I’ve not had this problem before except on an inexpensive “rough-in” pair from another manufacturer.

These are a premium quality pair of thinning shears. Extremely well made and very smooth. Originally gave these three stars in a previous review as they were not really working that well on our Welsh Springer Spaniel. The seller (Craig Smith) called us and offered to buy them back as he didn't want me to be stuck with a pair of scissors I couldn't use. At that time I hadn't tried to adjust the tension on them as I was afraid I'd mess them up. But after talking with Craig and asking about the tensioning I told him I'd try to gradually tension the shears until they stopped folding the hair over during the cut. After having adjusted them by about five clicks on the tensioning knob they worked great. Thanks Craig for the excellent customer service.

Outstanding Shears...great for blending. I have a Care-tzu (which is a cross between a carrin terrier and a shihtzu) and these work great on her hair. They are very sharp and so far they have stayed sharp (thru many uses). I would tell you that if you are looking for a quality product, you have found one because this is it!

These thinning shears really work nice. Yes they are sharp, as other reviewers have stated but that is why they work like a charm. I do not have any trouble cutting myself or my Pom. I can really shape his fur the way I like it. It indeed was worth the money. I would not hesitate buying another grooming shear from Ed Geib.Jean K.

Beautifully well made shears for grooming dog's fur. I have found them to be very sharp, watch your fingers and your dogs skin, and very useful. I have found that it is necessary to push the hair out of the tins after every clip so that's where you need to watch the fingers or use another item like a brush or metal comb to do the pushing. Also a good idea to put a metal comb between the dog's skin and these shears before clipping around curved areas like ears. Just be careful with these shears because they could do some serious damage to your pet. Great product and I would buy again because they are most definitely a quality pair of shears.

These shears are definitely sharp and slice through matted hair just as advertised. I accidentally cut myself by getting a little careless, so watch out. The shears speed through and reduce the amount of time involved in grooming, which is terrific. My only complaint is that, by using the thinning shears so extensively, I ultimately made the matting problem worse. Come to realize that by creating such an extensive amount of layered hair, the longer strands tended to tangle up over time and then I had a real mess on my hands. The groomer told me that you should only use these types of shears in a limited way, otherwise the matting problems only compound. I wish I had known that before doing so much of my dogs' coat with them.
