This little gem did a fine job of packing my bearings. It was winter and the grease was thick so I had to put it on the floor to push harder but the grease squeezed through the bearings in proper fashion and I was happy. There is a way to pull the cup unit away from the canister using the device in the cap. It was not too sloppy. The price was significantly cheaper than I could purchase from the local mobile tool guy.

Made the job of packing my wheel bearings fast and easy. Saved a lot of time from hand packing them and less messy.

Haven't used this purchase yet, but this is the exact one I use to use as a professional auto tech, and wouldn't even consider one of the other chineezy made newer ones.

Kinda straight forward use, read directions on releasing the plunger. Push it all they down until the small spring is pushed flush and then pull. Definitely advise pushing down is difficult, especially after the first bearing. I used my foot and a little body weight on concrete carport. Probably not the best but I dont have a vise, impervise i did lol.. overall worked great. Did what i needed it to do👍

It came in a bag and it seemed really odd that they put a rubber band on it. Does it not hold itself together? No. The dust cover is under sized and doesnt seal. It flops around a bit so you better keep the bag to store it in. the rubber band was already showing age so ill have to keep replacing that as well. When i took the hand off the top there was a wad of polyester fill clinging to the odd burt looking threads. I felt it was used. I needed to pack the bearings so i had to use it but would prefer to have returned it. It packed them just fine, in about 2 seconds. But thats after 5 minutes of trying to make sense of the instructions. its better to just look at tue picture and figure it out yourself.Dont bother trying to load it with a grease gun. It will take forever and wont raise the 'cap' up when full. Just remove the grease cap and fill. I used the grease gun base to push the grease out with the rod.Not sure why the plastic looked burnt on the threads and on the side. I hope they hold up.

The instructions are terrible and for something you would think should be easy to figure out, it isn’t. Once you do figure it out (no help from the instructions) it actually works pretty good and you feel silly for not just figuring it out from the start. Packing wheel bearings is just a messy job no matter what, but this is a lot less messy than the dual cone type you use with a grease gun, and it wastes a lot less grease. The first problem I faced was how to get the plunger out of it, I thought they accidentally glued mine in at the factory. The trick is in the knob you push down on, remove the piece that knob kind of twists onto, screw it onto the center shaft that the grease zert is on, then wiggle while you pull out, it’ll come. You can use it with a grease gun to fill or pack your bearings, but you don’t have to. It has a built in grease gun zert on it.I just used it for red Timken bearing grease and could push it fairly easy by hand, if however you are using a thicker grease or just aren’t very strong, the instructions show you can actually put it in a vice and squeeze it (about the only useable information in the instructions). The only real design flaw is the “dust cap” you use for storing. It works for its purpose but I would have preferred it to be like a lid that fits over the top of the outer housing rather than a loose piece that just sits down inside of it.If I were to ever lose or destroy this one I’d certainly buy it again. Also makes for a great wedding or baby shower gift.

Thought I this size may have been a little small, but will take bigger bearings. Very very pleased with the construction and ease of use
