I have a 2001 S10 4.3. The #3 sparkplug is immpossible to get to. I could get my spark plug socket on the plug but couldnt get passed the steering colume with an extension yto turn the plug. I couldnt get my universal in the socket with the colume there. I bought this as the universal is welded to the socket. Side by side this socket/universal is 1/2 inch shorter and still grabs the plug. A pain to get on the plug but one once on the plug was out in 30 seconds. This tool is perfect for what it does.

I used this to change the spark plugs on my 2019 Toyota Camry V6 and my mom's 2017 Lexus RX350.

I recently changed out all the spark plugs on a 2018 Toyota highlander. I have changed spark plugs for years on various vehicles, but this one presented a unique challenge. This engine block has a coil pack going to the spark plug, so it is necessary to have a long extension to reach down into the block to get the plugs. Thank goodness for this tool. It integrates a standard spark plug socket with a rubber boot that holds the plug inside the socket when installing or removing, and a 3/8 swivel enabling you to easily maneuver it in tight spaces.I don’t know how I did any other spark plugs replacements without this. It is so easy to use and a total game changer when you add it to the tool box. Wish I had it years ago, and will be using it for years to come.

Two swivel plug sockets for a cheap price. And they’re magnetic. That’s huge for me. Licensed mechanic for 14 years.

It's a great tool to have, happy I bought it!. Only reason I don't give 5 stars is because item was delivered with slight rust occuring on the inside of the socket( slightest bit)

Bought to use to open a window that is just too out of reach. Use it with my extension bar and crank.

Excellent product! Worked flawlessly on my 07 Buell to change the spark plugs. (very difficult to reach behind the frame). This socket has the rubber boot built in to hold a spark plug while extracting or inserting. One trick I picked up was to use rubber fuel hose to start the spark plug. Anyways, I'd buy one again if the need arises.

Nice quality socket from Gearwrench. Very smooth and polished, looks like a more expensive brand. The socket fits great on a ratchet and perfectly on spark plug. The swivel action is smooth. The rubber insert for gripping the spark plug tends to get stuck on the end of the spark plug when you are installing them. So be careful if you are working with deep hard to reach spark plug tubes.

I own a '87 Chevy S-10 Blazer. This socket definitely came in handy. I would not have been able to access a couple of the plugs without it. I highly recommend having one in your tool chest. It's not too expensive and you'll never know when it might come in handy.
