These roughly 2" long plastic hooks have a flexible plastic snap fastener to close them. I am using them to attach a small, lightweight folding backpacks to the belt loops of my pants so that each backpack is available for use during day trips. I am using these plastic snap hooks rather than my usual metal carabiners for airplane travel so that they hopefully will not set off the TSA metal detectors and cause us delays. These backpacks are very light and these hooks seem sturdy enough to support that amount of weight (5 ounces for each backpack). Cheers!
