How to Insert Ink Cartridge:
- Step 1: Disassemble the Pen: Pull out the ink refill converter, then you can see a protrusion in the grip section, this part is what punctures the cartridge and carries ink to the tip.
- Step 2: Insert the Opening into the Grip Section: Insert the cup-like rim end into the grip section.
- Step 3: Press Firmly: Push the cartridge in firmly until you feel the cartridge puncture. This may take more force than you expect.
- Step 4: Leave the Pen Tip Down: Wait until ink saturates the feed.

I’ve tried several different types and kinds but this is a bit like cheating but each tip is different and they have ink refills which I think is amazing for I tried it the old fashioned way and it took me forever to write a letter and with these you don’t run out of ink!

The instructions are inadequate. There are no explanations for the inserts in the pens. I assume the red inserts can be filled with other ink resources, but simply do not know. Finally got all pens working with a huge amount of effort to get pods clicked in.

Should have read the other reviews first, from all the 7 pens only 3 work, tried with different inks as well.some of the ink that comes with the set are quite nice. I wouldn't recommend buying, would rather spend a bit more and buy 1 or 2 proper fountain pens if you wish to practice calligraphy

I have Pelikan and Sailor Music Writer for special occasions and Lamy pens for everyday use. So I'm pleasantly surprised at the quality for the price. Each pen comes with a ink converter that work well. The pens will take full size Lamy cartridges which are larger than the cartridges that come with the order. They write well and the ink flows smoothly with no leaking so far. I highly recommend these pens and will be buying a second set.

Mega schönes Kalligraphie Set!! Würde es jederzeit wieder bestellen. Auch die vielen Farben und auch der Füller mit der Pinsel Spitze ist genial!Das Reindrücken ist wirklich sehr schwer, deshalb setze ich den Schutz für die Spitze auf und drücke dann von oben den Füller mit der Tintenpatrone auf meinem Schreibtisch nach unten. Also: Schreibtisch-> in 90 Grad die Patrone mit Öffnung nach oben -> auf die Patrone den Füller ohne das Unterteil (aber mit Kappe) und dann feste drücken.Ich hoffe, die Beschreibung ist jetzt nicht zu verwirrend. Bei mir klappt es so, ich übernehme jedoch keine Gewähr!Ich lagere die Füller liegend.Wofür das mitgelieferte “Innenleben” der Füller gedacht ist, weiß ich jedoch nicht. Eventuell um richtige Tinte zu verwenden?

I really like these pens. They feel good in my hand. The tips are great. The nibs are really nice, although, I haven't figured out how to take them off. I haven't had a fountain pen in my hand since I was a child, and these just feel right. Putting in the ink isn't hard, you just have to put some straight down pressure on them, and they pop right in. I would definitely buy another set in the future.

You get what you pay for. These pens and inks aren't high quality, but they are great for a beginner learning calligraphy. I've been able to practice on regular notebook paper with the pens and inks that come with this kit. I've found that the broadest tips have worked best for me as an absolute beginner.

I’m very pleased to have found the CG Quill Pen and Ink Set! It has proven to be a wonderful addition to my art supplies. These are beautifully machined, and very comfortable to hold. No cramping in my wrist, and the pens have a nice weight to them, and are nicely balanced. They do skip,, as mentioned in other reviews, but from my limited experience it seems to be dependent upon the paper used. A lot of ink is included, which is great. Only one pen, the 1 mm I believe, doesn't work.

This is a nice enough set of calligraphy pens. Six lovely pens with loads of ink cartridges of many colors all in a charming gift box ... what's not to like? I've been having lots of fun trying various scripts with the various sized nibs. All the pens work well except for one which for some reason just won't work. Unfortunately I had to deduct a star for that reason. Otherwise, it's a nice little beginner set with everything you would need to start dabbling in the art of calligraphy. It certainly would make a beautiful gift to someone who enjoys writing, journaling, corresponding ... any artistic soul, really.
