I got these large square washers because I have a few outdoor rugs on my decks and I live in an increasingly windy area. I got tired of having to go look for my outdoor rugs after every wind storm. So when I saw these large metal square washers that do not have any sharp edges I thought these might work to help hold my rugs securely to the decks.This set has 30 in it, they are quite heavy, and very neatly machine finished, there are no sharp edges on them or any sharp bits. These are safe to have on my decks where my dogs run around, I needed something that would not hurt their paws if they step on it. As you can see in the attached photos I placed these large washers at various points on my outdoor rugs to help secure them to my decks.And I am very very happy to say that they have endured not one but 2 wind storms back to back in the last 24 hours and for the first time ever all my deck rugs are still where I placed them before the storm. With these large washers I no longer need to put heavy deck furniture on top of the rugs to help hold them down. These washers have helped make a positive difference in my life, when dealing with storm clean up work.
