I purchased this case titled 17x18 to fit my Tascam Model 16 which measures 17x18 and it did not fit as the 18” was actually17.5”. Very disappointing. The next size up 19x22 would have worked but not for another $150.So, I was forced to hit the rails which were a hard styrofoam rather than a flexible foam.For the money, not a good investment.

I bought this as a case for my Mackie 1642 VLZ4 and it fits just perfectly. It doesn’t move around at all and provides adequate protection with the foam. The outside appearance of the case is a hard black plastic that feels sturdy. It comes with an upside down triangle foam and two wedge pads to stop the mixer from sliding left and right. It’s pretty expensive but there aren’t a lot of other great options and protecting my mixer is important.

Much better than the heavy wooden boxes that we had been using to protect our equipment. Not as heavy. Easy to carry. Foam protects my sound board and I don't have to worry about keeping it in an upright position for transport, because the foam pads it.
