Bought this for small batch brewing. Connected a PEX 90 degree elbow and silicone hose to the ball valve and everything worked out great.

Had the pleasure of running this 4 x now both time indoors no real issues easy cleaning Great Value and seems very durable. Only complain is they don't really have a standoff that works well for it but I'm going to cry about it for a little while and then I'm going to either make one or find one that works😪

After reading reviews from purchasers of this kettle I was aware of issues - most seemed to be shipping or assembly related. I purchased it with the intent of returning it if it didn't work out.The box was in good shape upon delivery and the contents were in good shape as well. All components were wrapped and undamaged. The valve handle was in a configuration that pointed it toward the kettle to open it. The distance from the valve to the kettle made it impossible to completely open the valve. Some valve designs allow you to remove the handle and replace it 180 degrees but not this one. This was also one of the problems noted in the reviews.Fear not, as there is a fix for this!! The female threads in each end of the valve are the same size, so unscrew the entire assembly out of the end of the valve (hex nuts and all - keep it together) and screw it into the other end of the valve. Snug it up good and assemble into the kettle. The valve handle will now operate in the proper direction. The valve operation is very stiff - so stiff that operation of the valve will bend the side of the kettle - which can lead to cracks and/or leaks. Install a stainless nipple into the discharge side of the valve and WITH GLOVES or pliers hold the nipple on the discharge side when opening and closing the valve. This will take stress off of the kettle wall around the valve. If using this kettle over a fire (campfire or propane burner) you will need to guard the valve assembly from direct flame contact as this will damage the o-ring seals. Placing a piece of sheet metal under the kettle directly under the valve will help shield the flame contact from the seals. If you need to replace the o-ring seals be sure to use the same type. Rubber o-rings will NOT withstand the heat. The kettle is fabricated from thin steel, so cracking is a possibility if subjected to extreme heat. Slow even heating should assure years of service.

Looking over this thing I can see the handle welds inside the pot but no leaks. It's stamped on gallon markings show inside and outside but they're accurate. Shifting it around with 5 gallons of water in it on top of a high pressure burner the handles feel safe, but I didn't feel like picking it up that full. 1.5 gallons I swung it around no problem. The drain is a perfect height really and both it and the temp gauge are leak free. The temp gauge seems accurate, tested it against a Kline temp gauge meter adapter and a cheap hold it the water beyond the feeling of "it burns!" And it has marking ranges for mash temps, 170f to stop mash and boil temp.I keep it outside in a desert climate under a tree under a cheap tarp, clean it with "bartenders friend" and it works great for 5 gallon batches of "brew in the bag". A good buy for a 10gal stainless steel cooker pot.

Update to 5 star now. I dont care when was the last review but after using it 10 or 15 time I do not see any issue at all. Been using it for 8gal start and over and over again without gasket issue, handle issue, termometer issue not any issue. Overall Im happy and decided to give 5 star because for the price, it holds and will probably hold forever. Thanks to GAS ONE.It's working as intended however if you are looking for quality, trust what everyone stated! Poor weld and truly visible from the inside. I hope it will not puncture at some sooner point. I intend to use this for longer than expected. Additionally be careful moving it around since the valve does not really hold strong in the kettle wall. Reasonable price but that's the downside, as stated.

I got the 10 gallon GasOne pot to brew 5 gallon batches of beer (BIAB style) and debated whether or not I needed to get the version with the thermometer, false bottom, and bazooka screen for a while. In the end, I decided that I didn't need all the extras and now I am wishing that I would have just gone and done it to begin with. I have a "clip on the side of the pot" type of thermometer and it doesn't really work for watching temp while soaking the grain. I also wish that it came with a SS barbed attachment on the ball valve. I picked up a brass one at the local hardware store though, so it's not a huge deal.Other than that, the pot is awesome. Thick bottom that works on an induction burner or on the propane burner. The ball valve is sturdy and you don't have to worry about bending the pot when you open/close it. The welded handles seem sturdy. I have moved the pot with 8+ gallons in it with no issues.I have noticed liquid escaping from the inside of the ball valve when bringing to a boil, but I think that is just the trapped water in the valve escaping as it vaporizes. It didn't leak until it was getting close to boiling inside and then once it hit a rolling boil there was no liquid escaping anymore.
