fried 4 turkeys and 2 Cornish hens, plus tater wedges. seems more heavily built that the stock pot, which i burned a pin hole in it.

I ordered this to replace an aluminum frier pot that got bent. This stainless one is much better. It heats up faster and holds the frying temperature better than the aluminum one. I use two pots as I fry two turkeys at once, so I will order another one to replace my other aluminum pot.

Upon opening the carton, my first impression was very positive, because the lid seemed to be of good quality -- a solid, well finished stainless steel. However, I was then disappointed to find that the pot had a substantial dent near the bottom. The pot would probably be fine for the intended purpose, with the dent, but doggonit, I'm sorry Amazon I gotta return it. I want a new pot to have no dents.

Worked great. The original cracked following the second use. The Stainless Steel pot was solid, durable, easy to clean and handled my 22 lb bird with room to spare.
