Had I known about this device sooner, I would not have needed my portable Garmin fish finder. I am no expert on fish finders, I can only tell you that as my first fish finder ever, I am very happy to have purchased this castable fish finder. I needed to change the fish symbols to show as fish or else I could not have understood what I was seeing. Paired the app. with my phone, very simple. I have braided line with heavy duty swivel to make sure I don't lose it. Maybe the GPS version would be worth it should it be lost, mine is not GPS and I am happy with my investment. It works very well. Can take it shore fishing or on a boat. If you have a raft or one-man boat to fish in then get this thing.

Fino 50mt legge bene.

Took this on a fishing trip to Canada for a rented boat. Works well. Battery lasts about 8-10 hr. Good picture on my phone and accurate. Worked well with my IPhone 14. Easy to use

Tested on my aquarium, it works, hopefully does the same on actual fishing trip

Product works well, if the water isnt moving much. If you have any kinds of current or waves or wind that causes the bobber to rock, the readings are not very accurate. I guess this goes for any castable sonar but I ended up returning it. Not for me.

I bought this as an affordable option to a classic flasher. It works great and lasts about 6 hours of continuous use with my iPhone 14.

Give you a pretty good idea of where the fish are. The only down side, it is hard to talk which direction the fish are moving past the unit so you know where to cast around it. Some of the cheaper units are just as effective so you are definitely paying for the name. Built solid and long range so I can’t complain but if you are new to these, start with a cheaper model first and try it out.

The Garmin makes it easy to check the depth and contour of ponds and to locate fish where you can't use a boat. I use it from the boat too in the lakes. The graphics are quite good and easy to read. You WILL need a heavy pole to cast it and use heavy line or braided line so as not to have it break off when casting.

This is one of those, “how did I get along without it” items. If you know the theory behind fish this will absolutely change your game. The topographical mapping isn’t perfect but it’s enough to get you on the edges. It took about 45 minutes to charge from 3/5 bars (as read by the app), and went all day without making a dent in the battery. I’ve heard it really drains the phone battery, while I didn’t pay super close attention I didn’t notice an issue with that. This thing is tiny, palm of your hand tiny, plus it weighs very little so even a smaller rod can cast it easily. I used it to map about 400’ of shore line today, probably 120 feet off the bank and it took me about 10-15 minutes to do, taking my time. The temp sensor is very quick to read, and the image is clean, bearing in mind this isn’t your garmin 93sv, but instead a sub 200 dollar unit that is the size of a kiwi. It’s not going to replace the unit on your bass boat but this absolutely has potential to change the game for shore fisherman. Why are you still reading? Buy it already!!

I was very skeptical but now am a believer. Small powerful technology that has really helped me under stand the lake I fish on more clearly. Easily stored in my tackle box. i generally drag it behind my small boat using my trolling motor. Great images unless i am going too fast or the water is very choppy. Blue tooth connection has been dependable (sometime briefly disconnects but rapidly reconnects). With each outing I am adding data about my lake and uploading it to the Garmin site. Battery life is good and am able to get through a full day without losing power (not 2 days though). Very worthwhile addition to my tackle.
