Pairs well with my other garmin products. Tracks my weight progress very well. A lot of options and allows other users to use it without messing up your numbers.

I want something that is as dependable as my doctor's office. And I love the way it hooks into the Garmin app with my other tools, watch, BP and other metrics. It's my health, after all! I like the way it works, and it's even cool to look at. As I expected, this is a perfect 10/10

Setup wasn't very difficult even though it requires Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity. Once setup, it is a breeze to use while all your weight data is being captured and forwarded to Garmin Connect. Once there you can even link in your doctor so they can review the data. The scale's price was inline with equivalent competitors so it was a no-brainer but the blood pressure monitor is a hefty premium over competitors. I took a chance that having BP data auto-captured would prove valuable and has been. Simply step on the scale, wait a moment, and step off and all your weight and BMI data is auto-synchronized to Garmin Connect to join all your workout data captured by your Garmin smartwatch or bike computer.

I recently purchased the Garmin Index S2 scale, expecting somewhat reliable detailed body composition readings given its premium price. While the weight measurement is accurate, the advanced features like body fat, muscle mass, and bone mass are consistently inaccurate considering my fitness level at physique, and together with water weight (all converted to kg) add up to almost 20% more than my actual total weight.I’ve meticulously followed all setup instructions, including using a flat, hard surface and weighing myself at the same time each day with dry, bare feet. I have reset the scale. Despite these efforts, the body composition metrics remain off, which is frustrating given the cost of this device. While I understand that body composition measurements from smart scales can be inherently inaccurate and are more useful for tracking trends over time than providing absolute values, the significant discrepancies I’ve experienced with this scale make even the tracking feature useless, as I’m starting from an obviously incorrect baseline.Unfortunately, returning it isn’t feasible due to high international shipping costs, leaving me stuck with an expensive and largely useless gadget.I cannot give a purchase recommendation for this device. I hope Garmin addresses these issues, as the current performance does not meet the expected standards for a device in this price range.

I really like this product for the most part. It's easy to use and since I use a multitude of Garmin products all my health info is easily available on the app. The only inconsistency is that the body fat percentage calculator doesn't seem accurate. It can give different reading on consecutive days so take those measurements with a grain of salt.

Even though I may not always be happy with the numbers that I see, I am happy with this scale! It's on the pricier side, but as someone who uses a Garmin watch for my other activities etc it is nice to have my fitness and activity trackers synergized with my scale if my goal is weight loss. I have no way of knowing how accurate the water, muscle, and bone density calculations are but it's sort of a cool feature if you believe the numbers. It's also nice you can have multiple profiles on there if you have multiple users. It's easy to turn on, just give it a nudge, and in a second you can stand on it and get your weight. Hasn't died or had any glitches so I'm happy with it!

When I buy a new product like this scale I look through the online reviews. I usually start with 1 star and then look through the others higher reviews. I noticed thst this scales one star reviews complain about WIFI connectivity, set up difficulty and then there are extensive reviews on the accuracy of the BMI and other measurements. I just opened the scale 15 minutes ago, put the batteries in the scale, it immediately paired on the first try with the Garmin Connect app on my iPhone. I then connected to my home WIFI with no issues on first try. The scale took about 10 minutes to up date its internal software. I stepped on the scale and it ran through its first calculations. They are pretty spot on. I’m replacing this with a fitbit scale so the data all pairs with the connect app. The fitbit scale is pretty accurate and the Garmin scale came back with the exact same BMI and body fat % the FITBit measured. I’ll have to see how it works as I get into shape and if it changes, or if I have additional problems. For now, right out of the box, scale worked flawlessly, and on the first set of measurements, it appears to be spot on with my Fitbit scale.

I'm a Garmin fan, just to be up front about that. My family switched to Garmin for our fitness tracking a few years ago and have never looked back - Garmin products are incredible. But I wasn't excited about dropping $250 on a smart scale, I couldn't imagine it would be that much better than our current $$$ smart scale to justify the price.Oh, I was so wrong. I absolutely love this scale. Not only is the aesthetic design modern, clean and stunning - a lot of thought and effort went into the underlying programming to provide precise and functional features. The S2 tracks a wide variety of metrics and it does so with incredible accuracy. The first day we had it, we marvelled at how fast it was to set up. Then we played around to see if it would read the tiniest changes in weight and hydration - and it did. There's a huge selection of customizable screens that appear on the scale display, and even if a particular metric isn't shown on the display, you can still access it via the Garmin Connect app. The scale fits seamlessly into the Garmin Connect environment - it tracks numerous trends for each and every user - and automatically ports relevant information to popular calorie-tracking and other health & fitness apps. We've been using our Garmin scale for about a month now, and we keep discovering discrete features, all surprisingly thoughtful inclusions to our Garmin environment. At one point, we did encounter a minor issue, so we contacted Garmin customer service - and wow, the speed of the reply and how they went above and beyond to help was just amazing.I can't say enough about this scale, and I really can't say enough about Garmin. They've consistently impressed me with every product I've bought and every interaction I've had with the company.Absolutely worth every penny, the Garmin Index S2 is leagues above any competitors' scales. Wow.
