I have to up grade for a long time. I finally took the step, first ride was in the rain and it work flawlessly. I upgraded from a smaller garmin, I am very excited to see what all this thing can do.

me gusto todo, al principio todo muy bien, no requeria la banda ya que segui usando mi Garmin 1030 Edge hasta poder venderlo, posterior a venderlo, me di cuenta que el sendor de FC del Garmin 1040 no venia, solo los sensores de velocidad y cadencia, me habria gustado aunque sea una solicion efectiva para poder tener todo el paquete completo como era debido, y no sin algo tan esencial para la efectividad del entrenamiento, no eh evaluado al vendedor por que esperare a que me de una respuesta favorable y asi cambiar mi evaluacion.

If you are on the fence of should I spend the money on this .. buy it! I learn something new everyday this thing does. It also motivates me to push myself .. fast shipping .. I really like my 1040!

This product is by far the best GPS cycle product i have ever owned. Long lasting battery (lasts forever) , Screen is concise and easily to manipulate (even with my cycle gloves on i can still use the touch screen without issue). Bazallion functions and options as well as easily importation of .gpx files. Absolutely gorgeous in the sunlight and can be seen without issue. The added functionality with your phone is bar none the best in the business. I would recommend this to anyone doing serious cycling as the go to GPS/Activity gps. There are no down sides to this (this is not the solar one) other than no solar.

Batteries in the sensors were dead and box had a sticker on it that stated "READY TO SHIP" THIS IS NOT A NEW UNIT AND I'M RETURNING IT! I'm not willing to pay new prices for used items.

The Garman required two different apps to sync with Strava and Ride with GPS.After downloading both apps and connecting with Strava and Ride with GPS, Strava would only randomly download saved courses. Ride with GPS would seldomly connect to the Garman. In both cases neither Strava nor Ride with GPS would would connect without WiFi. This made the Garman useless on a ride.After trying the Garman on several rides and watching a number of Utube videos to troubleshoot, I finally gave up and bought a Wahoo.
