Track your every breath when you pair the Descent™ T1 transmitter with compatible Descent™ dive computer via SubWave™ sonar technology. This duo enables you to monitor your tank pressure, remaining air time and air consumption rate for multiple types of diving. Easily install Descent T1 on your high-pressure regulator port without the need for a hose. You can pair up to 5 transmitters with each Descent Mk2i dive computer, so you can dive with multiple tanks or see your buddy’s air levels with additional equipment (sold separately) and required device paring.

I wanted my 10 y/o to monitor his own air with SPG, but also wanted the peace of mind of being able to see it for myself. Not only can I do that in real-time, but his air consumption is also a part of the dive log.

This transmitter never lost signal before, during or after my dive. But please be aware that the transmitter uses sonar to communicate with the computer during the dive. The sonar makes a distinct chirp noise every few seconds. I did not really notice it until I started listening for it then I couldn’t not hear it. The chirp is not as annoying as some have claimed. The chirp is not as loud as the exhaust from the regulator and can easily be lost in the background as long as you don’t start listening for it. I recommend anyone with an air integrated garmin to use this transmitter.

Not much to say. I have this paired with my Descent MK2i. Worked flawlessly in the Maldives this January 2022.

Sensor can be used only with Garmin watch so the total package is not cheap, but if you are Garmin fan, this is the way to go. I used it on about 20 dives and it worked as expected and I did not miss one of the air hoses. It takes few seconds for watch to pickup the signal once under water. You can setup alerts for low gas levels on your watch. All gas consumption data is available in Connect and Dive apps offering additional insights usefull for solo divers. Battery life seems good, battery is still showing full. Basically recommended for anyone using Garmin device for activity tracking, but there are cheaper alternatives for watch/sensor packages if you are just looking for diving computer feature.

Bought and received a month ago, finished 2 dives with the transmitter so far. Works well and just as described with the Garmin Descent Mk2i. Easy setup and syncing and accurate readings.

I purchased the MK2i before the transmitter but after only two dives I knew the AI was a must and I wasn’t disappointed. The audible chirp was distracting on the first few dives but after I got used to it I don’t even hear it anymore and it doesn’t chirp loins enough to be heard on my GoPro Hero 8 while underwater. My exhale on the 620ti regulator is far louder. If you’re on the fence about getting this in could junction with the MK2i don’t be. It is worth the money and Garmin’s software is easy to use to log and catalogue all your dives.

I've had my Garmin Descent MK2i since November/2020, at which point the transmitters were not available yet. I picked up the T1 transmitter before my last dive trip and I dived with it about 30 times. I love it, and have no complaints. It never once lost connection, even though I have the T1 transmitter mounted on the right side of my regulator and wear my Descent MK2i on my left wrist. Great system, and I totally recommend it.
