This collar works. We gave up trying to help our husky with his separation anxiety years ago but when our landlord threatened to evict us we tried this collar as a last ditch effort. It took about two weeks for him to understand how the collar worked but now he’s calm and at more peace when we leave.

This collar is awesome. It did take some time for my dog to get used to it, but now she is quiet when I need her to be. Formerly, she was the loudest dog I had ever seen/heard. She would actually screech instead of bark when she was excited (a long, earsplitting demonic noise reserved for a torture cell), coupled with what sounded like a horse huffing and bellowing as it raced down a track. Now she is quiet when she wears the collar. Unfortunately, she's a probably smarter than I am, so she figured out that when she's not wearing it, she can continue her psychological warfare.Don't be turned off by the adjustment period - stay steady and the dog will eventually figure it out. She was scared of it at first, because she didn't realize why she was being shocked (she is used to a human-controlled collar). The programmable features are nice too - I just leave it on the minimum setting - it's more than enough. I could have helped her adjust better by introducing a "no-bark" rule using her other remote-controlled collar, before leaving her alone with the new automatic collar.

Highly recommend! Don't wait to buy this. I have a Bluetick Coon Hound/American Bulldog mix (60 pounds) who barks regularly and loudly. We have tried training and less expensive bark collars to no avail. I finally decided to buy this collar and wish I had tried it years ago! After one day on the 2nd setting (of 7), our dog no longer barks. It's unbelievable (for reference, she wouls bark even on the highest setting on the less expensive brands). This has relieved so much stress from my life, can't recommend it enough! The only downside is the battery I've doesn't seem to last nearly as long as they claim (10 months). We have had it about a month and have recharged it twice (which is still a significant improvement over other models).

Sucks when I have to use the shock method over just the vibration, but it's easy to change when you need to. It works well! Just have to remember it's a training tool and not ment for 24/7 use and you need to monitor what's happening and not react and baby your dog when it shocks them ... Work with a trainer if you've never used one before! They'll help with fit and help you with the response reaction. I have a 15lb mini poodle and he knows now to not bark when it's on. We're working on him not barking when it's off

My dog is relatively quiet unless he sees a smaller dog, children playing, or people running. Then he goes into bark mode which lasts way too long.We already have a beeping/vibrating bark collar that works but the battery life is only 10 hours. We needed something that had a better battery life, but especially after buying an RV. A park we stayed in recently had a zero tolerance for barking dogs (apparently after reading reviews of dog owners booted off). I bought this collar for the trip. I charged it prior to going. Put it in my dog in the morning, and only had it on the vibrate setting. It cuts the barking in about half. He usually has a nice little tantrum of barking for about 5 minutes but now this is a couple barks to maybe 2 minutes tops. I’m sure if we used the shock setting it would eliminate the barking but honestly he’s quiet for the most part so we do feel like this is needed. But, this collar worked well. I didn’t charge it for the 5 days we were there. I did take it off at night. Sometimes I’d flip it from v (vibrate) to n (neutral for off). Sometimes I’d leave it on v and it would go into standby mode to save power. When I got home I didn’t even need to charge it. It was still in green.I do think that the manufacturer’s instructions were spotty. Like it should mention the occasional flashing red light which just signals it’s on )not that it needs charging). I kept trying to charge it and realized it wasn’t charging because it was fully charged. But, when I changed from n to v then it would alert me to the fully charged status. Also, I had a heck of a time figuring out how to hook the charging mechanism to the bark collar. I finally figured out that the circle configuration of the bottom of the collar to the charger and the prongs lined up. Also, the different collar options when originally ordering the collar was confusing. I thought it was something special not just different color options. The basic black works fine.Honestly, my experience with this collar has been great. We were able to take our dog all around the town and in some shops. He was really well behaved and I believe some of that is because of how this collar changed his behavior.

I bought this bc my friend has an identical collar for her poodle and it seemed to work in a gentle way. I’m not sure if I got a defective item or what but the one I bought was a completely different story.First the Pros, it is rechargeable and well made.Cons...it COMPLETELY TRAUMATIZED MY DOG!!! I have a little 10 lb Yorkie who loves to bark. I had it on him for literally 2 minutes when it seemed to start malfunctioning. He didn’t bark, I think he just whimpered or growled, but it shocked him and he started wailing in pain like he was dying!!! He had this crazy look in his eye and started running around frantically. My 5 year old son was terrified and jumped onto the couch to get away from the dog, worried the dog would bite him. The dog finally ran under our bed and THREW UP. He wouldn’t come out so I couldn’t get it off him. My husband tried to coax him out and our fur baby bared his teeth at my hubs, obviously the dog was scared and in pain!! After about 20 minutes of the dog quietly hiding under the bed he let me gently pull him out from underneath (we have vinyl floors so he slides around, it didn’t hurt him). I finally got the collar off him but he was shaking like a leaf. It was so heartbreaking to watch!! It was on the exact same setting as my friends tiny poodle but my dog had a terrible reaction to the “corrections” the collar gave. It’s been almost 2 weeks and my dog is still super skittish and flinches every time you pet his neck:(.........

Great concept however my 1 y.o. German Shepherd didn't respond to any of the 3 types of simulation. Even attached the longer probes to ensure they got theough her coat. Will be seeking a refund as have not seen any indication of response to "stimulation" ie. Shock mode.
