I received two packages of the pen refills. They were supposed to work with my Cross pens. However, each of the packages had refill cartridges that were different lengths. Some were the correct length for my pen and some were too long to fit. The packaging quality control needs to be improved.

I had 4 pens that these were direct replacements and 1 pen that was a custom company Western Electric labeled pen that only required pulling off the screw top and using "as is" then in the company pen. Like the smooth black ink. The all write identical and good and black.

In the picture shows the nib measuring .4 inch in length, the package I received has nibs that measure .375 inch. Refill works fine in a Cross pen but not the Garland pen I have.
