Okay, I've written a lot about the recently discontinued Max Pro 4125 Electronics Lubricant. ThisGardner Bender GCD-005 Electrical Lubricant seems to be the same (or similar) formula. It is a an electronics cleaner with "residue" (light lubricant) that cleans and leaves a very light film that basically evaporates after a while thus leaving just enough of a coating to not let oxidation start. It also frees up sticky pots, switches and faders. I use it daily in my Guitar Repair business where I use it for many other things, like freeing up rusty saddle screws on electric guitars, as it's lighter and creeps better than WD-40. In many instances, I will use GDC-005 to free up a tight vol/tone pot, but once free, I will use CRC Electric Motor Cleaner to wash out the lube. The one thing you should understand is the Residue (lube) attracts dirt, which is why in some conditions, I'll wash out the GDC-005. If the guitar is to be played in high humidity, I will leave the residue in. This is also the reason I do not use Deox-It anymore. It's too tacky and too expensive and it doesn't deoxidize any better than GCD-005.

Used this product for the first time today, on some 12v electrical connections part would not engage corroded connections all switches were good. I disconnected all connection sprayed this cleaner into them and shook them out applied some diabetic grease spray ( first time use also ) in and reconnected tested unit, nice all was good unit parts engauge issue fixed love this stuff

Bought this for USB plugs that lose conductivity, but when it arrived I tried it on the headphone jack of an old phone that always had static noise when the plug moved around. Zero static instantly! 😄🙌

Cleans pots, volume etc.Most recently, i used this to clean the charging port and cord end for cell phone!A quick blast. Followed with a quick blast of compressed air returned charging and data transfer functionality!
