It’s challenging to find a large hanging basket that can be used inside (has a pan to catch the water). This looks nice, is good quality, and I appreciate that the chain to hang it comes off separately as that makes it much easier to plant or repot my plants as they grow.

I have a couple of Lechuza self watering planters and was looking for a more affordable alternative. At about 1/4 the cost these fit the bill. I was a little concerned about 1) the base staying attached when full of water and 2) the single string being able to transfer enough water to the soil. I’ve had these up for about a month now and neither of those concerns has been an issue. My plants appear well watered and the bases remain securely in place even through several storms.I like the coated metal chain which looks much nicer than the plastic options. My only complaints are that the fill spout detaches easily and bounces water back if you’re trying to fill too quickly. It would also be nice to have a clear spot to see the water level. I tip the pot a bit to see how much water there is. Not a huge deal, but it would be nice.

I love the look of this and it is build well. The bottom watering works great although it is a bit of a process to get the water into the bottom each time. It's definitely worth the money!
