This is the best light duty shovel that I have ever had (78 years old). Makes planting in root infested areas a breeze, great for digging up invasive plants and edging small areas. The edges have stayed sharp. Light weight, yellow color makes it easy to find when I can't remember where I left it

I am a 72 yr old female who loves to tinker around in the yard and flower beds. This is the best shovel ever! It is sharp and easy to press into the ground. It is sharp and sturdy. I love the length of the blade and of the handle. Very easy to dig with. I am 5’4” and it is easy to handle. LOVE this!

2nd one I have purchased.. this one was a gift. I bought mine 15 yrs ago off QVC and I still use it. Perfect for planting perennials and annuals up to 1 qt containers. Great for separating day lilies and works amazingly for digging up tough weeds. Mine has set out in the rain. Worth every penny.

Best shovel I've ever used! Makes digging in hard dirt easier, lighter weight but much sturdier at the same time. I don't worry about it bending / breaking when I torque it against roots :o Shape of spade head is great, & handle has real nice feel too!Plus, I love the color! (Wish still had pink, went with purple instead) A++

Originally purchased at Philly home show, came to Amazon to purchase for my grandson who is studying landscape architecture . This shovel can easily (Im 77) dig thru clay, mulch, even gets thru old small stone mulch. Dig to plant , edge or get deep weeds out! 👏🏻👏🏻❤️❤️

A gardener friend of mine has the teal shovel and she let me try it out while helping her in her yard. I thought it was great and easy to use. The next week I had to use the regular shovels here at home and realized how much harder they were to use and I wasn’t getting nearly enough done because it took so much longer. This shovel is very sturdy so you can really get it a lot to shove or pry up. The sharp pointed end slices right through roots! Also it’s not too tall and has a hand through handle so you can place it exactly where you want it and use one of the foot tabs to really get it down there. Worth every penny!

Years ago my mother bought this shovel at a Garden show. She loved it and all her gardening friends ordered it. When I moved into my new home a 3 years ago I also bought one - I love to garden and I am always doing a DIY project and have used this shovel so many times. I have other shovels that never get touched because they do not do what this shovel does. The head on the shovel digs through the soil and rock with minimal effort. I have to say I tend to leave this shovel out all the time, I should take care of it more but honestly it is tough and it lasts after years of being put to the test. A few weeks ago my pool returns were being replaced and the pool guys were having a difficult time digging out the area and asked to borrow my shovel. After using it they bought a few for all their trucks. I recently started gardening with my daughter and we both tended to need the shovel at the same time so I decided to order another one and this time I decided I should write a review. I rarely do reviews unless a product stands out to me. This is one of those products. If you garden or dig a lot in your yard order this product, hands down it will become your go to shovel!

I bought one after seeing it demonstrated at a gardening show in Buffalo a month ago. I had to get 4 more -1 for everyone in my family. Everyone who saw it was envious. It's short and light, with an easy -to-grip handle, so you don't have to expend a lot of effort to dig with it. But the best part is the wide step for pushing with your foot and pointed spade. I once had a trenching shovel with a sort of pointed blade, but my foot kept slipping off, and I couldn't push hard enough. This is so tough, so well made, so perfect for planting in the rocky soil, digging out the invasives by the roots - even bamboo and knotweed. I just came from a big box garden store and saw inferior shovels for more $ than this. I'm seriously impressed.

Just opened the box and it's already damaged from factory.. not impressed. I bought this for a gift and i dont feel comfortable giving someone a damaged present .
