I should have gotten one sooner. I was cleaning out my landscape beds and this held the bags open nice and wide. What a great help it was, and trust me I put this thing through the ringer... Just one thing to keep in mind, I had to check on the thumb screws once in a while. It seems that they loosen up after dragging it around my yard. But like I said I kind of abused this rack and it held up well.

This stand was easy to assemble. Clips assist in holding trash bag to the stand, but aren’t really needed. Only complaint is one of the stand sides becomes loose a few times during use.

I almost didn't buy this because I always read the negative reviews first and saw all the problems people were having with it falling apart. It didn't come with directions, or I missed them, but it's only a few parts, so how hard could it be? Well, if you just assume and don't take a minute to think about it...pretty hard.I assembled the frame and used it 5-6 times with no issue. I was loving it. Then it fell apart. I reassembled. It fell apart. Went back and forth like this another half-dozen times and I was fed up.I started to use duct tape to secure the connections together....then it hit me. I hadn't assembled it correctly and the problem I was having was the same as the people with the bad reviews. The end with the welded bolt attaches to the handle, and the end without the bolt slides into the bottom and is held in place by the knobs. Once I switched it around, no more spontaneous disassembly. This thing works GREAT! I wish I'd had it all along.

Used it today for a couple of hours of heavy weeding and brush clearing. It works perfectly with 33 gallon plastic lawn bags, with the bottom of the bag resting on the ground so that you can press down and compact the yard waste (see photos). The support arms have spring in them, which makes it easy to hang new bags and take off the full bags. The spring tension also holds the bags securely while filling. Four clips are included to help keep the bags on the frame, but I did not need them. The support arms connect to the bottom frame with thumbscrews. The thumbscrews loosened a bit as I lifted the frame and moved it around, so it is a good idea to check them occasionally to prevent the support arms from pulling out. This was a minor inconvenience and I only had to check once or twice as I moved the thing around a quarter acre for a couple of hours and filled about eight bags. If you have limited storage, the thumbscrew design makes the frame easy to disassemble for tucking it away in a corner or small shed. If you have no need to disassemble, the thumbscrews could be replaced with short bolts and tightened down more securely.

Bought this item to use in the yard for yard waste. I love the fact that it easily comes apart for storage and takes up so little room. It was easy to assemble and even came with a wrench. Fits large trash bags easily and comes with the clips to hold them. The clips also can be used to hold the pieces together when disassembled. I filled up, 4 garbage bags of fairly heavy yard waste to maybe 3/4 full so that they would not be too heavy to carry and it performed perfectly. Very pleased with my purchase. Please note when disassembling for storage, the bottom hand tightened screws where the arms attach to the base should be tightened enough so they will not come out easily. I almost lost one due to it being too loose.

This trash bag holder is a game changer. After many years using a different brand which did not work well, we tried this one and it was perfect from the get go. East to set up, take down, and does not take up much space when you need to put it away. A MUST HAVE if you entertain at home.

Took on camping trip, used with large 45-gal bag. Very stable, held up fine to lots of trash, never fell over even with some hefty wind. Easy to assemble and break back down. Much easier than packing a trash can to campsite.

As others have said (e.g., "Mom" Useful, but Not the Best Quality), the four sockets on the base, into which the support struts insert, are not long enough or snug enough to hold the struts. I am a guy of average or greater strength, and even with maximal hand tightening of the thumb screws of the sockets, it was difficult to keep the struts in the sockets. The long strut generated so much leverage on the thumb screw, particularly because there was some play within the socket, that it was almost impossible to tighten the screws enough to hold the struts.I'm really surprised that more people haven't commented on this (I read all the The unit otherwise appears to be well designed and well built. Too bad... missed it by THAT MUCH.
