Only use these to put next to wine barrels to hold a drip line works well for that. Quality appears decent for the money. Obviously not strong enough for heavy duty use, They will bend if put under too much weight. Using a dead blow hammer they punched into the ground with no problems

I try to buy in quantity, specially if I know I'll need more down the road! These usually don't last long around my house. I use them for multiple thing!I bought the 5' because at least 6" goes into the ground and I'd rather have something too tall than short! I bought these to make my tomato cages more stable. I always try to stake my cages with zip ties. In the past cages alone fall over especially with indeterminate type tomatoes that keep growing. Taking a little extra time and spending a few extra dollars keeps you from having major headaches later and damaging your plants trying to set them back up.These stakes are plastic coated and durable. I use a hard plastic mallet to get them into the ground. It's not heavy like a rubber mallet. Putting 50+ stakes in the ground can make anyone tired and sore, so I use the light weight hard plastic mallet. It also protects the stakes as well as you drive them into the ground.I also use these for a little roost for younger chickens when they are growing up in a little 4x6 tractor. I place several at different heights so they can roost and play.😉Look at over all qualityHeightDiameterAmount for for your $and always shipping cost and delivery date!Oh, and they may have different ends.I'm happy with the one I picked!Good luck!

very displeased with these, two of them broke immediately and another was bent over and ruined within a day of it being in the ground to hold up some safety fencing.

Expensive for what I got. They push into soil harder than other stakes I've gotten. The pointy end that pushes in is rather rounded and just didn't plant as well as they should have. They bend easily so not that sturdy either.Height is good. Quality is about a grade C- to a D+Not that happy since it took forever to receive them. Save your money and look at a local big box hardware store if you have one nearby.

These are good performing garden stakes. The stakes are decently rigid and, provided they are properly anchored in the soil, offer excellent support for plants. As with any plastic coated metal stake, they are not designed to be pounded into the soil (especially if it's a heavy clay soil). You need to create a pilot hole with a drill, auger, dowel, or similar means. The stakes have pointed tips on both ends, which is not ideal. Other brands I've used have either a flat top (better) or a flat top with groves cut into it (best). The flattop with groves is helpful to anchor the string when creating a trellis setup for plants such as pole beans. A flat top also makes it easier to push the stake into the pilot hole. One star down for the double pointed end design, but otherwise, a good performing garden stake.

I like them that they’re sturdy and they’re easy to use. I just threaded my netting over top of them and tied it off at the end to get my planner boxes secured from animals.

For my needs, these were perfect. I installed some temporary plastic fencing to keep my dogs out of a newly seeded section of my lawn. However, I'm not sure these would hold up to much force, and I do know pounding them into hard ground is futile. Most of my yard was relatively soft at the time, but when pounding into the harder sections, I had to be very careful not to bend the poles. They bend very easily, and you're going to lose most of the caps when you pull them out of the ground (no biggie I suppose). For my needs, or to put up something light weight like garden fencing, chicken wire, etc. these are just fine. If you need something to be firmly in the ground and to provide durable support, find something bigger. The plastic coating held up nicely, and the ribs allowed me to use zip-ties to hold the fencing on, which worked well. All and all, a good product, and cheaper than buying them at the garden store.
