This product was so flimsy that we had to remove it and order another piece from a different vendor.

Lets start of by saying i did not have to do any modifications like some reviews state, i have provided photos of the install, only difference is that the oem is stronger plastic, these new panels are more flexible plastic thats why they cost a fraction of what the dealer charges. The side panels have riveted blacket bendable brackets which oem dont have, i think the brackets were a good idea based on oem break at the spot on all mazda's that i have worked on. I read a review where the person stated that he could only use 3 bolts vs 5 bolts because the outers didn't line up, the reason it didn't line up is cause these panels are universal for 1st and 2nd generation mazda 3 and they may or may not be used depending on the options the car came with or the yr of the car. These panels were installed on a 2008 madza 3 with the 2.3L engine. I hope my review helps shed light for the next customers that are looking to purchase new panels. If these panels dont line up properly as they should then something is misaligned on the car. I also read a review that the round hole doesn't line up with oil filter removal, well guess what its not suppose to line up. If u look at my photos of my old panel i actually cut it out bigger so that i dont have to remove it all the time i change the oil.

I had to spend an extra 30 minutes modifying this to fit. The main large panel fit okay but 2 of the bolts could not be used, there should be 2 tabs sticking out further than the other bolt holes that go under the more forward plastic panel on the car,the holes are there but do not stick out far enough to line up so you can only use 3 of the 5 bolts which should hold okay since there is 2 bolts on each side panel. The side panels is what did not fit right and I had to cut and trim them to line up with the main panel which was tricky since the side panels hold up the back part of the main panel. The plastic material is flimsy compared to the factory piece.
