Very sturdy! I got it for my home gym accessories. I wouldn’t suggest putting a 30lb plus kettlebell on it.

Good sturdy heavy duty design. Would be easier to assemble for 2 or more people but I managed by myself. There is a 48 inch high section and a 36 inch section that attaches above it. You must have one shelf at the joint of the 2 sections to stabilize that connection. The rest of the shelves also add stability but they can be just about any height as long as they fit into the slots. Also advise picking up a decent rubber mallet to bang pieces into place. The supplied mallet is too small to be much use.

Contrary to what I have read this rack is solid and strong. Can it hold 1 ton? Maybe in theory, but I would not do it. Can it hold hundreds of pounds? Yes easily. What I really like is how the shelves are fully supported around the perimeter and braced down the center. The rack is quite rigid despite not having any angled braces. Good design. I'm a rebel and did not use the included gloves. No cuts. I used a hammer and wood block to pound in the shelf braces, trust me it is far better than the useless rubber mallet they supply -and you will need more umph to get the braces fully seated. Also the bottom and center rack are the only ones that have to be in a specific location, the rest can be set wherever you want. I have two large spaces and two smaller spaces with mine. The top rack is about 8 inches lower so I can reach everything more easily. For the price this shelving is hands down worth every penny. Every penny. No lie. I actually got what I had expected -strong shelving at a reasonable price. Far better than the plastic racks I had before (they are awful).

Of all the items I have purchased on Amazon this was the worst for the money (~$200) and it does not resemble the advertisement at all! I cant even rate this on a scale of 5 maybe 1/2 of 1. Bar this product from future acquisitions! Shelves bent, flimsy design, sturdy as a 3 legged chair, truly worth about $20! Advertisement is false and fraudulent!

Be really nice if these sellers could figure out how to package their products so they don’t get damaged en route.Thru made me go through hoops to advise which pieces were bent ( many) and after a week of phone calls and messages they finally just replaced it .Great product / sturdy / easy to put together — but I really resent the hours and hours it took to get it replaced.

The sheet metal may be kind of thin, but the engineering on how the pieces fit together really gives it strength. I wouldn't put 2000 lbs on it like it claims, but the shelves are reinforced underneath so maybe a few hundred lbs on the lower shelves. Very happy with it, I bought a few more for the garage and I'm sure it can stand up to the heat and won't warp like plastic or mdf wood. It actually looks nice enough to put in the house too.
