The folder has a nice feel and a professional look to it. I have gotten many compliments from clients. They say, "Wow" as they run their hands over the cover. The cut-out is a nice touch.

This is the perfect "altar book" for our liturgical (formal) church. Our church tradition uses a red binder but must have one that is dignified and aesthetically beautiful as it sits on the altar and is carried by the pastor during the service. A service book must also be well-crafted with rings that perfectly align so that the service pages turn smoothly. This red leather binder is perfect for our church service use but would be perfect for any application where a beautifully-crafted binder is desired. After a long search for an appropriate binder, and finding many inexpensive shiny plastic ones, we are very pleased that we found this!

This binder looks and feels very nice. There is no strong odor from the leather, nor is it too soft and prone to damage. I use this along with custom calendars and other inserts that I made for work/school. It is a bit heavy, but it is of very good quality and doesn't seem as if the binding will be tearing from the covers anytime soon. I do, however, wish that were integrated pockets on the inside of the covers and that the rings were slightly easier to open. The price, I believe, is also a touch too high, although the quality of the product is superior to any comparable leather portfolio or folder that I have seen.
