This is the only stool I can sit in without back pain. You can inflate it as much as you want to - inflate it less for a more cushy feel, inflate more for a more "bouncy" feel. Either way, it works on your dynamic sitting balance, makes you naturally sit with good posture, and, at least for me, really helps with back pain. I'm in healthcare and sit often to document/work with patients. This stool is a game changer in my weekly work routine.

I purchased one about 7 years ago for my office. I use it daily. I needed to replace the ball because it kept deflating. It got to the point that I'd have to repeatedly inflate it multiple times throughout the day. For whatever reason, I couldn't find just a replacement ball so Iwound up having to replace the entire stool. Not complaining, it's a great chair anyway. Nothing else works better to build / strengthen core muscles while sitting in a sedentary position.

Primero costó algo para armarla, ya en uso pues llega un momento que cansa, así que no fue como esperaba ...

Easy enough to put together in about 30 mins. Pictorial instructions are satisfactory. Will help build balance and core strength, but perhaps slower than you thought. Excellent for maintaining core.Complaints - This particular item seemed to be a return w lots of scuff marks and multiple drill holes.

This has been the only chair to help me sit at work! Unfortunately it has lost air consistently now for two weeks. I bought a pump to keep filling it up but is multiple times per day now! I wish it just lasted longer sad face.

Ideal to help fix scoliosis or kiphosis. Pretty comfortable, too. Seems durable--hopefully, with only a half ball, my cats won't be tempted to stick their claws in! (They murdered my old full-size exercise/sitting ball, but they were much younger and more playful. This chair has been in place for over a week already and doesn't seem to interest them at all...)

I had an original Gaiam balance ball chair for 10+ years and only had to replace the ball once. I used it daily for a job working 40-60 hrs/wk. Only just recently had a leg crack and would no longer hold the wheel. Still works great as a stationary chair though. Ball still in great condition. When I was shopping for a replacement chair for work, I was so excited about this. All the benefits of the ball chair I loved, from a brand I trusted, but I was also able to adjust the height to accommodate my sit-stand desk. So much more flexibility. Unfortunately, less than13 months after I purchased it, the chair split right along the base and will no longer hold air. I tried a patch designed for boats on the first split, but it just split again a couple inches from the original. Absolutely frustrated with the quality. Unlike my other chair, I can't just replace that part. Because I bought through Amazon instead of directly from Gaiam, I have no recourse with Gaiam. I do not recommend this product.

You read that right. I've been using a sit-stand desk for a few years now, and notice all sorts of benefits from being more productive to having fewer back issues. I needed to replace an old stool for the sitting portion of my day, and originally bought an office chair. With the extra comfort, I found myself sitting far more, and soon felt my back and shoulders acting up, and my day seeming longer. I purposefully went looking for something that was tall enough to "perch" on, but not so comfortable I'd forget to stand up again. This stool fits the bill perfectly. By the time I've sat for 20-30 minutes, a new set of muscles is telling me they've had enough, reminding me to stand. I'm over 200lbs and despite using 5 days a week for 3 months, I have had no issue with the unit losing air or in any way deflating. The foot rest ring is also a great feature. I'm very pleased with this unit and would buy another in a heartbeat if needed.UPDATE: closing in on a year of using this stool 5 days a week, and have yet to refill or have any issues with the rubber. It's been a really great addition to my office and I would recommend to anyone who needs a perch during the workday. Great product.

I spent years sitting on a ball at work because of low back/neck pain from a desk chair. After my last one sprung a leak I decided to go with this stool and it has been even better than the ball. No longer chasing it around when I get up, and I love that it has wheels so I can shift around behind my desk. I am glad I didnt go with the ball chair or just another ball.***Edit to Add: Has been a little more difficult getting used to this than it was sitting on a regular ball. It creates a lot of pressure on the pelvic floor as well as makes my hips ache. I have been alternating between sitting and standing (which is better anyway) as well as added some stretching at night. Hope it is just an adjustment period.

This stool is great, it is the best of having a ball chair but the convenience of being on wheels. I am 5'-2" and it is perfect for me. I have had a difficult time finding a balance ball that was small enough for me to sit comfortably on, without feeling like I was not able to place my feet flat on the floor. I have lower back issues and sitting on a stool while I work was not working for me. My back feels great while I work sitting on a ball but I felt like I was going to slip off of the ball all of the time. This stool is the perfect combination.I haven't had any issues with it losing air but it did take a couple of tries to find the perfect amount of air for my comfort, but now that I have, it has remained inflated to exactly where I want it. I pumped it up quite full and left it over night the first day that I had it and then tried sitting on it the next day but it was too hard so I just released some air and now it is perfect.

What I love best about this chair, is that my cat cannot lay on it! It's all my own ;)

It is very comfortable and really does force better posture. I love it and the color granite, as well.A few visitors tested it. Results: Thin people fit well on the big chair, ( their legs spread around) and bigger thigh people fit better on the small ball. This sounds backwards, but it is what I have noticed. 5 stars all the way.

This was perfect for the first few weeks. Then, when I came back from Thanksgiving break, I saw that it had deflated quite a bit, so I just pumped it up and thought that would be that, but it just stopped holding air for more than a day. It's always pretty well deflated by the end of the day. I have to refill it everyday. I have to keep it now b/c I missed the return date by one day. The pros for this stool are that it is easy to put together, it helps your posture b/c it reminds you to sit up straight since you don't have a back to slouch into, it maneuvers well on the wheels- or they can lock into place. But all the pros are pretty much pointless if doesn't stay inflated. Sadly, I can't recommend this particular stool.
