We bought these backing plates for my brother's 2008 F350 Dual wheel truck. Based on the other reviews, we though these would fit without modification. That was a bad assumption. While these appear to be made from the same thickness as the originals, they do not fit without modification. First, these plates have to fit inside the brake caliper bracket AND they have to fit inside the brake drum. Unfortunately for us, we didn't discover that they didn't fit properly until we went to install the brake rotor and hub. First we had to bend the circular piece of metal that fits inside the caliper bracket inward so that it would fit inside the mounting bracket. After we got that fixed, the next issue arose when we tried to install the brake rotor and hub assembly. The backing plate would not slide inside the brake rotor unless we bent the metal inward. One thing to note is to also grind/clean the rust off the center ring of the brake rotor to make sure you have enough clearance. So, we made them work and everything is ok, just be prepared to deal with these issues if you buy these. As usual, few aftermarket parts fit perfectly as compared to buying the parts from the manufacturer. I am a very experienced automotive technician so these issues were not due to not knowing how to install these parts.

Passenger side fit Ok....holes did not line up exactly but the clearance was sufficient.The driver side is ONLY for rear-ward facing calipers. If your truck has the driver side caliper IN FRONT of the rear AXLE then this item WILL NOT WORK for your truck!It would be nice if the seller added bold and highlight to this distinction which they do mention in a photo and in the general description - which I missed, my fault for not reading all details carefully.Buyer beware!!Check your caliper location BEFORE buying and save yourself a headache.Otherwise the passenger side seems to be a decent replacement for the OEM.

Used these parts and replaced old dust cover backing plates. These fit perfectly and with new brake shoesall went together easily. The big job is getting everything off.

This is the correct part for F250 with caliper facing rear. Others (Dorman,Carid) claim theirs fit,they don’t. They’ll send you two RH parts. This part from Gagsu fits my 10.5 sterling rear perfectly. Don’t buy anything from Carid,it’s a train wreck of a company.

I'm from Buffalo, NY. I bought these Gagsu Brake Backing Plate Rear Brake Dust Shield Backing Plates 924-212 for my F250 2006 Superduty. My original OEM's rotted out in 7 years in 2013 and wouldn't pass inspection due to parking brakes connects to the plates. I replaced with aftermarket plates for $50 in 2013 (oem $200). I did not do anything to the aftermarket backing plates and just installed them. Now forward to May 2021. The aftermarket plates both rotted out and we gone after 7 years (again as the OEM did) This time I bought the above mentioned plates, scuffed them up with 220 grit, cleaned with brake clean, put two coats of POR Brake Caliper Paint and two coats of Cosmoline RP342 Black on them. Rust should never see the light of day on these plates. I have put 500 miles on truck in 85 degree temperatures and no problem with Cosmoline melting off as some of my friends were concerned about. You can't put Cosmoline on calipers because it will melt off but the backing plates never got above 100 degrees as they are basically air cooled and do not get subjected to direct heat from braking. The parking brake is just that- park and brake and generates no heat. This mean NO MORE RUSTED OUT PLATES. Ford quoted me back in 2013 over $1,100 to do the job, in May 2021 they quoted me $1,500 to do the job. I did all the labor and parts were only $200 including paint, cosmoline and new parking brakes, backing plates.. Time will tell on longevity- but I have high confidence in my layered protection. BUT do not put oem or aftermarket backing plates on your truck with out adding extra protection from salt if you live in areas where they add salt to the roads or you'll be replacing plates again in 7 years!

Recently purchased a 2005 f350 super duty and in needing to do the brakes, noticed that one side was missing the dust shield and the other was about to go. Price was my leading drive to purchase these from the seller but, the quality was just as good as the two to three times more price of an O.E.M.Was a little nervous after reading some previous reviews But installation was a breeze (once you did the harder part of getting to them) and the fit was perfect. I would definitely recommend.
