These are my favorite chains. They are light and easy to handle and strong enough to do everyday work. They resist rust very well and look great. I haul a lot of machinery and heavy equipment and these chains are great for chaining down lighter pieces and attachments. So easy to use and very durable. I give them 10 out of 10. I'll be buying more whenever I need chains.

I ordered this chain to outfit a new tow truck that I just put together. where I'm from G80 chain is required on any tow truck and it is very expensive to purchase from towing supply houses so I was very surprised to see the $64 price tag on this chain and expected it to be far less quality than it actually is. I already have G80 chain on my other tow truck so I compared the welds and the stamps and the hooks to those chains that I have used for years if anything this chain looks better than they do I can't really speak to strength because it's a 3/8 G80 chain it's not supposed to break lol. I will say for 64 bucks you can't go wrong for 20 feet of chain and two hooks especially G80 chain. If I have any issues with this change I will report back here although I seriously doubt I will.

I have a collection of old chains, some older than I am. All are pretty uniformly brown from rust. It's nice to have a new one for once. 20' is a nice length to work with for some of the things I need to tie down. The hooks are red, which helps with finding it when it falls off the tractor. The greasy coating is a little annoying, but it's a lot better than the brown of my old chains. This is a well made chain, it's already dragged a couple of logs for me and I look forward to using it in the future.

Product Reviewed: G80 Transport Binder Chain 5/16 Inch x 20 Foot for $43TL;DR; G70 Hooks; Oxide Finish is dirty; Short linksThis is a nice looking chain. I wanted it for general purpose work around the property not particularly for load binding.Pretty standard chain. By file test the links are semi-hard and the hooks are marked G70. The links are shorter than on some of my other 5/16â chain so for tight corners this is a plus. The chain has an oxide finish it would seem but your hands will get quite dirty handling it. For logging purposes Iâd be inclined to degrease it and paint it so it doesnât blend into the ground so easily. There is an aluminum tag marking the chain as G80.This is nice chain and a good value but I have to knock a point off for the G80 rating. For general purpose use though great stuff.4 stars and good to very good value. How I review:Reviews start with 5 stars and I subtract points.- 0 for value but I try to provide guidance-0.5 to -3 for product not matching description e.g. stainless steel is actually plated steel-0.5 to -3 for product missing badly on executionI select products carefully so low (1-3 scores) are rare but detailed comments and critiques almost always are in the review. Most of my reviews come out 4-5 range. If possible I dismantle or destroy items to examine inner workings.

The chain itself is fine. Has standard hooks on each end that hook onto chain links as you would expect. But wow! The chain itself is coated with some kind of black âpreservativeâ or rust inhibitor, so when you handle it, your hands will immediately be coated with this black gel-like substance that only comes off with a degreaser and a lot of scrubbing. I suppose this is good for protecting the chain, but itâs nasty.

Good heavy chain! I have no way to test the strength, but no reason to believe it won't do as it says. I have some acreage and always need a chain, cable, rope or other lifting/pulling implement and can never seem to have enough.

Pulls shrubs with ease. Advice: wear gloves.

This chain is super strong for it's size. My only complaint is that it is covered in oil. It makes your hands filthy if you don't wear gloves. Tried to drag it around in the dirt but it's still oily.
