It plays games but the menus suck. good screen, not great, but full ips with good viewing angles, sound is ok. definitely made for smaller than adult hands.

My title sums it up. The controls feel great. Every single button and control stick has a premium feel, punching much higher than the $50 price tag on this at the time of order. Morning is too loud or clicky. The console is a bit small, but isn't that the point? The screen looks great. The speaker is probably what you'd expect from something this small. 5 stars on the controls and screen. The out-of-the-box playability is frustrating. It has around 4,000 games, if I remember correctly. This may sound like a lot, but there a bunch of duplicates (from different console versions, mostly), and 4k really isn't that much for an emulator these days. These notable consoles are missing too - all Nintendo games and a bunch of Atari games are the ones that suck out to me. I'm guessing this is due to licensing issues? But that brings up another question, because I've noticed a lot of games with disclaimers at the beginning, some of which day things like "this game is only licensed for use in Europe". So.... ?What else... Good luck getting peripherals to work with this straight away. I've tried all of the following with no luck:- connect a Switch Pro Controller (the console recognizes it by name, but does not accept any commands from the controller- connect a USB keyboard, with and without a powered USB hub (not even a note of recognition)- connect to the Internet- use Bluetooth- connect to an external displaySo why would I give this 4 stars? Well, it's mainly the low price tag and the great controls / build quality. And, it seems that most people who like to buy these emulator consoles know a but about making everything work to their preferences. I'll likely be putting a new OS on it via the secondary SD card slot, and then hopefully get the ports and wireless features to function afterwards.

I bought this because it advertised built-in WiFi, but this device has no WiFi built-in, despite what the title and product description clearly state. The manual makes no mention of WiFi, and you cannot find any networks when you try on the device. I looked the device up on YouTube and confirmed that it has no wireless chip inside of it. This is a clone of the R36S handheld, which does not feature any sort of wireless functionality.I contacted the vendor about this twice and still haven't heard back. I'll be returning this device.

This inexpensive Gameboy style retro gaming handheld is a fantastic value. It features a beautiful 3.5 inch, fully laminated screen. No screen protector needed. Controls feel substantial and accurate. It includes an SD card, installed, jam packed with a variety of retro games. Exceptional battery life. Easy menu system with many choices. Sound is crisp and clear. It includes an earphone jack and an HDMI out. Games run smoothly. Many features. I'm happy I bought this gaming handheld. I hope it lasts a long time. I might buy a another in transparent black. Take the time to read the short instruction manual provided. It is helpful.

*** AMAZING UPDATE ***Since the internals of this unit were seemingly so similar to an R36S, which runs the superior AeUX ArkOS, I just took a chance and burned a copy of that OS (Using the V1 screen) and to my suprise, it boots! My original review (see below) was 4 out of 5 stars. I've just upgraded this to 5 out of 5 stars! You get all the amazing performance of an R36S, but with the solid build and controls of an Anbernice device! This device is worth the $49.00 asking price IMO.*** ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW ***Honeslty, I wasn't not expecting much from this one. Never heard of it. In fact, I checked youtube and found that there's exactly 1 review of this device and (as of this review) it is only 4 days old.The title of that youtube says "Feels just like an Anbernic". The youtuber is correct, it feels EXACTLY like an Anbernic. That means it's quality. You feel it right away. It's sold and the plastics feel great. There's no button rattle. The controls are tight and on point! The internal specs seem to match the R36S point to point. As such, there's no suprise that I found the performance matching as well. Basically, that means up to PS1 without much issue and you can so some PSP, N64 and DC...very limited on those. My only disappointment is the Batocera OS. Although alot of these front ends use Batocera as it's core, I wish it was using ArkOS. I find that with the same hardware, that emulation performance with ArkOS is slightly better, but if you've not used an R36S with ArkOS, then I don't think you'd notice. It's priced within it's spec as well. $49.00 is a good price. $39.00 would be an excellent price and anything below that would be a steal. I, personally, could justify the slightly higher price than the R36S for only one reason. BUILD QUALITY, not that an authentic R36S is bad, but you can feel it. There's a weight to it. A solid feeling that the R36S doesn't quite capture.Another minor gripe would be the small amount of light bleed on my unit. I get a little bit in the lower left corner, but you can only see it on solid black screens, so usually can only tell during boot/loading screens and only in dark or dimly light rooms.Over all, besides being super suprised on this one, I do recommend it!
