All igniters like this one are quite fragile. Any slight cracks or imperfections will make it fail.This one works perfectly as long as it arrives undamaged.Amazon sent us one in a plastic bag dropped in a soft plastic mailer envelope and it arrived broken in many broken peices.After reporting this to Amazon and the partnering company, they shipped the second one in a box.This one arrived promptly 3 day later and was flawless and works perfectly. This is an OEM part and fit exactly as required. Thank you.

I was having problems getting my furnace to ignite. This ignitor should have been my first suspect, because after I replaced it, I had no more problems. The old one got visibly red hot, but the new one showed me how it should look before the gas valve opens when starting the furnace.

If your furnace won't keep you warm because it won't ignite... and you spouse refuses to help generate a little heat... then this igniter might help (your furnace).Easy to install and it worked the first time!

Perfect fit on my 20+ year old Trane EX90 furnace, solved the problem of intermittently not starting. Less than half the price of an official Trane replacement.

It only took about 5 minutes to install. It came in a box with excellent foam padding. It really does seem to be super fragile, at least the old one was because it broke into several pieces as I removed it. So, be careful with the new one! The new one was an exact match, one screw, unscrewed it, old one popped out, the new one slid into place, and tightened the screw. Turned power on and temp back up, and it flamed right back up. Now, we have heat!

It does what it's supposed to do. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because I'm not sure how long it will last compared to the factory oem replacement
