Mine rocks on flat surfaces and is bowed... The package they sent it in does not protect from shipping in the slightest bit. 0 packaging material and you know it's been thrown around and smashed. Tested it vs other straight edges and it's .011 off of straight. It's also the softest aluminum you can possibly imagine... Feels like a wet noodle. Kind of doubt it even left their factory in decent shape. Wish I looked at before wasting 50 bucks on scrap aluminum. Will never buy from this company for the rest of my life.

Good straight edge for the money. Not as expensive as others I have seen. I used it to dial in my jointer and it worked great. Peaches is always great to do business with also.

Came in a solid package and seemed as accurate as advertised.

First issue and main issue is the product was not flat like claimed. My particular example had a slight bow along the entire length which completely makes this tool useless. Was not within the tolerance claimed. Second issue is the machine marks along the flat bottom of the straight edge allows light to shine through making checking for flatness using light impossible. Third problem is a design flat. The rounded edges made it almost impossible to visually see if a surface was flat because the small shadow created by the rounded edges completely washes out what should be a sharp leading edge. If the product was in fact flat and didn't have a bend I would only want to use this with feeler gauges because visually looking is impossible due to the rounded edges. Definitely do not think of this product as a "precision" tool.

This is just perfect for setting up my jointer, especially the outfeed table. It's very well made for the price well worth BTW my jointer has a spiral head the height of the blades are set.

After several tries, this one is straight. I do suggest getting all 3 sizes. Save to tube and store according to conventional wisdom on storing a straight edge without ruining it. I am VERY happy!

Some reviewers have received their item damaged from inadequate packaging, but mine was packaged in a tube whose soft (protective) end-caps were well-taped on. The outer Amazon box gave further protection (though it would have given more with a little added padding, even just crumpled paper). The straight edge itself is great: it appears to be a well-made tool with fine finishing and, most importantly, its business-edge is finely ground with no visible or feel-able flaws. I don’t have any way of checking the consistency of its straightness, but based on other reviews that hasn’t been an issue so I’m not worried. (I’ll amend this review if I have any problem in that regard during further use.)

The product was well packed with plastic guards on each end and shipped inside a cylindrical tube which had the ends held in place with shrink wrap, while also inside a long Amazon shipping box so there wasn't any real opportunity for the product to get damaged. The straight edge is straight as advertised. For the review that mentioned that it wasn't straight side to side, the product isn't rigid side to side - it isn't meant to be. If you rotate it to the side to view down it it appears to be bowed, but then rotate it the other direction and again it bows in the opposite direction. It is just sagging due to its own weight as it isn't supported in that direction.
