I bought the Fulton 1400lbs hand winch for my boat trailer, because of a shoulder surgery I had. I bought the one with the fancy cover over top of everything. When I went to install it, it didn't fit in the spot alloted for the winch.( I have a 16 foot yaught club trailer). I had to dismantle the whole assembly in order to remove the nice plastic cover, in order for it to fit. It did end up fitting, and it works well. It is much easier than the original to crank that came with the trailer. In all I am happy with the purchase.

Great product, feels really solid and super easy mount. Went to get started and realized my old winch was only a two bolt mount. Fulton knew that when they designed this beast and already had holes where they were needed regardless of the mount style on your trailer. Compaired to the OEM winch that was on there is like comparing a VW to a tank. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed in spending the extra dollars on this thing.
