Each bit measures around 12 inches in total length to provide you with enough drilling length to tackle most any project you can throw at them.

These Fulton extra long brad point drill bits are perfect for these situations!

- Drill into MDF, 4 x 4’s, 6 x 6’s, PVC, Resin’s, Composites, Plywood and more. Since each bit has a sharp (brad point) tip, it is recommended that you do NOT use these bits to drill into metal objects
- Brad Point drill bits are specifically designed for better hole location accuracy. The sharp point on the tip allows you to precisely locate your mark with the bit and with a little pressure, the bit won’t slip or walk as you initiate the drilling process. This makes brad point drill bits excellent for woodworkers, carpenters, DIYer’s and more!
- Each high speed steel bit is made in the auger spiral style. The reason for this is to help clear build up and chips as you drill. When using any drill bit and especially longer bits like these, you must always clear the bit by pulling it back out of the hole to discharge the build up and chips. This helps reduce friction and the overall stress on the bit producing a much smoother hole and overall drilling experience.

Keep your bits clear
As with any drill bit, its always important to "clear" the bit from dust, build up and chips that get caught in the flutes or spirals. To do this, simply work the bit in and out in small manageable increments while drilling. This not only make the drill process easier, it reduces friction and stress on the bit which in turn prolongs the bits shelf life.

I had no problem drilling through 6 inches of wood. Average quality, but I don't need to drill that deep very often. Worth the money.

The drill bit bent when making a place to hold wiring in the base of a lamp and punctured the outside of the lamp base.

Definitely not high quality or accurate. Drilled through a lot of railroad ties and held up better than expected. Size is close but they are only kinda straight.

I used the 1/8 " drill bit for drilling into driftwood. Unfortunately, it broke before I could finish my project. I wish I could order an 1/8 inch drill bit without ordering the whole kit--the whole kit isn't broken and I don't even need the others that came with the 1/8 inch drill bit.

I needed a 7/16" extra long drill bit to drill a couple of holes in our new chunky wood fireplace mantel and this set of seven drill bits was only a couple bucks more than buying a single 7/16" extra long drill bit. So to start off, the packaging was just some cheap plastic and sealed around the edges but no big deal, it arrived in good shape. The drill bits themselves are of good quality steel and had a good weight to them. I have only used the 7/16" bit so far but it was straight and true and the brad point stayed with no problem at all. For the price and quality, I would not hesitate to buy this set if you are looking for some extra long drill bits.
