One way to make metric threaded parts on an imperial lathe is to start with stock that is already threaded. That’s why I got this M12 rod. The material seems high quality and is non-magnetic.The listing says “with nuts” but the package I got said “with nut?” In my case the answer to that question was “no” as there was only the threaded rod inside. (Didn’t actually need a nut.)

A two pack of M12 x 300mm bolts made of stainless steel. I find the quality and craftsmen to be excellent. The standard M25 nuts thread onto the bolt rods. I use these in a woodworking project, indoor observation beehive. It enables me to attach wood securely and I simply hacksaw or dremnel cut off the excess. I do use the excess in other parts of swinging wall mounted units.Very good quality steel, high durability. I was searching for long bolts and found these. Exactly what was required. I had not considered such until saw and knew, yes, those will do nicely.

This is a good quality threaded stainless steel rod. The threads are all uniform, with no defects and the ends are ground to remove any sharp burrs. I got them to make a small press and they will be ideal for my needs. Very happy with the product.
