Geliefert wird mit einem durchaus solide funktionierendem Haltegriff für die zu reibende/schneidende Nahrung und einem (etwas kleinen, aber man will das Ding ja nicht auf der Fashion-Week tragen) Handschuh, der von den berüchtigten "Mandolinenfingern" schützen soll und diese Aufgabe auch gut erfüllt.Die Schneid- und Reibleistung ist beängstigend gut (der Handschuh ist nicht zur Deko dabei!), was man gar nicht sieht ist, dass man auch aus dem Schneidbrett Zusatzmesser ausfahren kann, womit man gleichzeitig die "Scheiben" die man abschneidet auch "würfeln" kann.Ein grundsolides Produkt, das seinen Preis absolut wert ist.

Some friends and I were planning a Tea Party for 60. My food contribution would be Cucumber sandwiches and Brie with Pear sandwiches. I especially wanted the cucumbers to be paper thin so I could layer them. This mandolin made PERFECT even slices. I enlarged the slice depth and sliced the Anjou pears, again, perfect slices. The pushers work very well and I appreciate the cut glove to protect my fingers. Easy to use, a snap to clean. LOVE IT!

This thing works like a charm, but it is much harder with smaller stuff like a carrot or a celery stick. I didn't know how to do it without them being wider. These blades are really sharp. I got on a roll with a carrot and I didn't use the thing that holds the vegetable in place, just my hand. Therefore, I ripped my glove on the blade. Very stupid. It was also less strong because it got wet. I was the one in the wrong, because they said to never cut the ends without the finger guard (a plastic device). I let the company know and they immediately volunteered to replace it. I believe it will be great for spiralizing as well. It is great because it is so compact. I have had neck and arm issues, so I was worried about the fact that it take manual labor to get the cutting action done. But the blades are so wonderful, and friction free, I wasn't even sure I was cutting anything. It has a wonderful container underneath that catches everything you slice. I can't wait to keep using this, and it saved me a lot of time in the kitchen!! May buy as gifts if I find my person is going to do a lot of fresh vegetable chopping!

This is a great product for the price. Esp everything that comes with it. A cut glove?! Thats awesome. The blades were super sharp so im glad to have had the glove. I have not yet used the straight blade but the ribbon one was super cool. It made my potatoes look just like the ones from the county fair. It takes some patience though, because its a little tricky to use. The catch container at the bottom also means less things I have to wash afterwards LOL! I added pics with everything included because thats usually the first thing I look for when I buy an x in 1 product. My mom gets a real kick out if it too because then she doesnt have to spend as much time prepping her salad veggies and she can get fancy with them now. Overall, its worth it for us. But like I said, the fancy blades are a little tricky so you gotta have patience. I didnt when I was trying to make the ribbon potatoes and almost gave up.

With all the recent health food craze, this is a really cool kitchen gadget to have on hand. I'm so pleased with all the new recipes I'm able to pull off now that I own this. This product comes with 5 interchangeable blades. You can slice really thin pieces of fruits or vegetables. You can make spiral and ribbon cuts, perfect for making fresh veggie based pastas. Comes with a grating blade so you can grate all kinds of cheeses. I love that I can grate up a large block of cheese and collect it in the catch tray and store it for later use. It also includes a julienne blade. Perfect for making hash brown potatoes or perfect sized carrot pieces for carrot raisin salad or ice burg/romaine blend. This product is not only going to save you time in the kitchen but, also money. No more having to but pre cut anything. This is going to be so wonderful for the spring and summer when my garden starts taking off. It's easy to clean, dish washer safe. It's lightweight and very compact. All the pieces nest together for easy space saving storage. Would make a great Mother's Day, house warming or even small wedding gift gift. It's great from the novice chef to the professional chef. I love it and highly recommend it.

So I bought this a while ago and used it for the first time last night to make potato slices. First great thing to mention is the cutting ability. it is SHARP!!!! I nearly took my finger off (i ended up slicing off my nail- makes for a good nail file I suppose!) with little more than a swipe. It does not take a lot of effort to cut anything, no matter which blade you use. (I have to mention here that I did have the potatoes soaking for about an hour and then refrigerated for a few days. I don't know how much that plays into the ease of cutting, but with the sharpness factor of the blades, cutting will be easy whether its completely raw or not.)Second thing to mention is the cleaning. When I first bought it I cleaned it straight out the box. It comes with a little brush to get into the blade sections so you're not ruining a dish cloth or your hands. That makes it easy to clean. It is dishwasher safe as well. Nothing about it has confusing little nooks where food can get stuck that can't be cleaned well, especially with the brush.Third thing to mention is the compartment. It can fit two medium-to-large potatoes after slicing. Once it gets full you will need to shuffle the compartment a little, because the food you just cut doesn't go down inside and will stay in the blade if it has no room inside the bin. Which means some of the last pieces i sliced were missing 1/4 of a piece. This is not a big deal to me, common sense tells you that if something is full the rest will have nowhere else to go, but it is worth mentioning. Overall, good space inside.The fourth thing to mention is ease of use. It is not a complicated piece of kitchenware, it's relatively easy to slide the blades into place. It is just a little difficult to take it off (mainly because I was careful not to cut myself, so it could have been user error) and I would suggest rinsing the top off before removing the blade, just to make it easier on yourself. It does still take a little strength to remove it- it's not as easy to take off as it is to put on, but the upside to that is that you can be completely sure the blade won't slide out or come off while in use. It's really secure. While on the topic of how secure it is, it has rubber on the bottom to keep it from sliding around on yout counter. Which is wonderfulyl necessary, especially considering how sharp the blades are. The design was well planned.Overall, it is a good investment. Nice amount of blades, two food holders (the big white one for sqash and cucumber and the small black one for potatoes and such) easy to clean, easy to use, nice compartment size. I really do reccomend this to anyone who's looking for a better-than-decent slicer. It gets the job done for sure, for a really really good price.
