I replaced the factory License Plate Lights with these. They plug right into the light socket and easily snap into the mounting sockets on either side of the license plate.

These work well and were easy to install. It is led based lights and lights up my liscense plate super bright making it a very bright display of my liscense plate.

I replaced these on my 2003 Sports Trac, and the original lamps were dull and not very bright.WHOA....these are really bright and shine up the license plate like a Hollywood premiere movie!!A cheap upgrade that makes a lot of difference.

I recommend not throwing away the old housing, they cost like $100. These were super easy to install and look pretty rad at night. So bright it kinda acts like a cargo loading light .
