I have a generator that came with a plastic shut off valve.. When it started leaking, I want to replace it.. It not only starting dripping on the floor with it in the on position, but the off position too.. and would not even fully shut off the gas going through the gas lines anymore either.. The original plastic one, after a couple of years, got so hard to turn that I had to use pliers to turn it on or off, so when it started leaking, I decided to try and replace it with something a little better made.. That is where this came in..Not only does this seem better made, but it was actually about a dollar cheaper then the cheapest original part replacement I could find.. The problem is, the plastic one was bigger, and once I took it out of the mounting hole, I found that the hole was way too big to mount this in its place.. When they sent this one, they only give you one washer, which worked fine for the outside, but I had to get a second washer for the inside, where the actual valve is, to mount it securely..This did fully shut off the gas, so no problems there. I first tried it by blowing through the valve with it turned off, and then by turning it off while the generator was running.. and the generator shut off due to lack of fuel, just like how it should have..What was also real nice is the fact that it was so easy to move.. I could move the lever from off to on, and back, with nothing more than my pinky finger.. It was that easy..I took 1 star off for 2 reasons.. First, they should have included 2 washers.. and considering they have cheap washers in there, off of the 5 cent bins from the store, it is not like it would have been very expensive to do.. The second reason is, it would have been nice if they would have made the threads where the washer and nut go over about 1/8" longer in case the metal you are mounting it to is not thin sheet metal.. So far, I am very happy with my purchase..In case you are wondering, the original part was on a blackmax BM903500 generator with the original plastic part number of 308459002..

Perfect solution to add a fuel shut off on my Honda Generator. Now I can run out the gas from the carburetor and avoid the gunk that builds up over the winter.

I needed a shut off valve for the bug. This wasn't the right diameter for the hoses I was using, so I had to make adapters. The trouble was well worth it. This puts the handle inside the passenger area without putting fuel in that area. I went through the install and this thing was easy to install and performs flawlessly. No restrictions on the fuel line and a solid block of fuel flow when it is off.

This shut off valve makes a great safety shut-off valve for motorcycles that have problematic vacuum operated petcocks that are prone to not shutting off properly.Stops the occurrence of the engine getting flooded with gas when parked, specially for long periods.

My Craftsman rider carb was leaking gas through the carb into the crankcase Kolher 18hp, put this valve in to stop the gravity flow of gas........problem solved. Mounted right under fuel tank. was a 15min install. problem solved until i can get the carb broken down and figure out why its leaking fuel into crankcase....
