Quality and shipping were great. Instructions had five different models, none specifically matched this product. Although the instructions were not particularly helpful, if you lay out the parts and take your time, you can figure out the proper order.

bought to install a traditional fork on my 1.5" Cannondale head tube. The headset itself is well made and spins smoothly, but the cups were hard to get in. Other cups I've installed went in smoothly, sometimes I could tap them in with a screwdriver handle....not so with these....I had to actually press them in- and it wasn't easy.Same goes for the crown race, installed onto a Fox fork, After fussing with it using a length of PVC pipe and a smidge of bearing grease, then more grease and heating the race in the AZ summer sun, then grease, heat and the fork in the freezer for an hour, I finally took it to a shop and watched in amusement as they tried the same tactic with PVC and a plastic mallet....eventually they had to break out the Park race driver and an actual steel hammer. It was a beast....If i ever get a new fork, I'll get a new race too.Now that it's done, the thing works great.

The conversion headset was fit to a 1999 Cannondale F900, which had a failed Fatty D Headshok. The headshok has a hydraulic damper that no longer dampens and for which there are not longer any spares with which to repair or replace the headshok, according to my LBS and Cannondale. I purchased a relatively inexpensive Suntour XCR suspension fork with a 1-1/8" steerer to replace the headshok. the headset was presented as an adapter from the 1.5" Cannondale head tube to a 1-1/8" steerer. It worked as presented and I am well pleased with the quality of the parts. Assembly was easy. I used caveman methods since I did not have the tools recommended in various assembly videos. Note that I have experience assembling bicycles and a mechanical background. Attention to detail is important.

This headset worked perfectly. I used this headset so that I could run a standard 1 1/8" straight steerer tube fork, a Rock Shock Tora on my 2008 F4 Cannondale that originally came with a Head shox fork. I was worried before I bought this that the Rock Shock fork crown might hit the down tube but there is plenty of clearance. Installation was easy.

This headset does not fit the steering tubes of 2011 Cannondale Flash (Carbon). It is also a little on the heavy side, though that is reflected in its relatively low price.

I was a bit skeptical about if this headset would work on my 1998 Cannondale F700. But rest assure if your head tube is 1.5 inches wide and not tapered at the bottom or top, than this headset is for you. This headset comes withWeight: 239gMaterial: AluminumCrown Race: 30.0Stack Height: 29.5mmBearing Type: Loose BallDefined Color: BlackS.H.I.S Upper: EC49S.H.I.S Lower: EC49S.H.I.S. I purchased this reducer for my Canondale Rush frame, which originally had a Lefty fork but I get it used without it, so I bought a regular fork a Rock Shox Recon, and the combination couldn't be better! This reducer is not only resistant, but looks good, it's compact doesn't look cheap, and I can say that it have been tested in the mountain pretty well. The price is awesome comparing to other reducers in the market, so I think the deal worth it, you definitely don't need something else. I been using this component for almost a year without a problem! Totally recommended

I bought this headset because I was in a hurry to put a 1 1/8 Rockshox Sektor on a Cannondale with a 1.5 headtube. It does the job well. The front of the bike feels very stable at speed on rocky terrain. The fork turns without any audible grinding. If I had the patience to scour ebay, I would have saved some money. I'm happy with my purchase.
