The only thing I would highlight is the weight (and its not necessarily a negative. We wanted a quality one for home and since the materials are high quality obviously the “tradeoff is weight” - but I love it, gives it a high end feel to it. The size is perfect and well.. its fun to play!

I bought this thinking it would be like the 1977 version I had as a kid. The quality doesn’t begin to compare! Tiles are cheap thin plastic with colors that are not vibrant and easy to distinguish. Metal portion for stand falls out easily and the whole stand spins instead of staying still.

I learned how to play rummikub over new year's and am now hooked! I wanted a game that felt special and this one does a nice job. The box is well put together and I like how the box becomes part of the game. I do wish the colors on the tiles were more vivid--I had a friend over to play the other evening and we had to turn the lights up bright for everyone to tell the difference between the colors (and NO, we're not that old! Hee!). There were some negative reviews of this, but I'm glad I went ahead and ordered. It's a great set and a REALLY fun game! (best board game ever for card lovers!)

This game arrived in a simple plastic bag. Not even boxed. This wooden beauty needed to be boxed with protective packaging. Ugh. Yes, A replacement is on the way, but what a pain to give someone a birthday gift and as soon as they start to get it out of the bag, it literally falls to pieces.

I was attracted to the wooden (retro) box as our world is full of plastic.. It is nice to see a game that is fun and embraces the good old days wood toys.Great game to play.

Our neighbor taught us how to play this game and we had to immediately buy our own set. We bought this set before Christmas (it is now June) and we've played this game at least once per week since it was purchased. The tiles and box are very durable. The box is a nice shape for storage.My only complaint is the tile holders that are actually from the top part of the box. I'd recommend purchasing additional/traditional domino holders along with this game as the wooden holders that come with the box don't hold the tiles well at all and the tiles fall off all the time.This is a MUST HAVE game for any household. So much fun!

same classic game, the unique feature of this product is the wooden case that has the stands built in, very cool design and nicer than a cardboard box like the classic. One small critique it that it is a little challenging fitting the tiles in the storage area after they are out of their neatly stacked packaging. when first opened. you have to either stack them neatly inside (time consuming) or put them in losely and shake the box back and forth until they settle in the compartments enough to allow for space for the top to slide shut. The latter is the quickest method.
