These clips are strong. The clip tension holds onto my belt while I’m climbing around scaffold. The included rivets do the job well and were easy to use, but you’ll need a leather hole punch.The thing I didn’t realize is that the back of the clip is almost as long as the front. The rivet holes are far away from the bottom edge. This, combined with the small lip and tight tension, means that clipping this onto your belt requires a finger inside the clip to keep it open. Otherwise, your belt/pants/pocket will end up behind the clip altogether. And getting a finger in there requires both hands, which isn’t always a convenient option.This could be solved by adding a piece of leather over the back of the clip, between the front and back, secured to what you’re adding it to. This may be the intended purpose for these clips and why the rivet holes are so far away from the bottom. This problem could also be fixed with a shorter back that terminates right after the rivet holes.Overall, usable and sturdy, but a bit inconvenient.

Poor quality rivets, useless clip design. Lost the first tool when the rivets gave way. Made the new holster with better rivets. Lost the second tool because the silly useless clip slides off of anything you try to clip it on to. Yeah they're cheaply priced, but you'll save money in tool replacement by spending a few bucks more on clips that actually fulfill their only function.

Good clips, clips good. Rivets are little small, but should still hold up for most clip applications.

after a few months of use they haven't defirmed/bent. haven't used the included rivets but they don't seem very sturdy.

It's not that the clip itself is weak. It's the penny rivets they send with the clips. Luckily, I have quality rivets on hand and used them. If you buy these clips, make sure you use better rivets or you're gonna lose a knife or worse.
