It was easy to adjust to the different rabbit sizes, the balance stays steady through the whole cut. The quality and smoothness when routing is easily obtained. It’s a steal of a value for the uses you get from it.

Freud is always consistent good quality. I've had bad experience with cheaper bits and always go back to Freud. You get what you pay for and expensive tools always cost less in the long run

I like this for the ease of swapping out the bearings, cuts clean. When using this small passes makes a cleaner smoother cut with no tear out.

Very versatile set. Makes it easier to step through progressively deeper cuts on curved edges where can’t use fence (oval picture frame rabbits), particularly at joints.

Freud continues to make high quality bits and blades in Italy. Let's hope this never changes. I have used their products for many years and have e never been disappointed.. This rabbeting bit cuts well and leaves an excellent finish. An additional bonus is all the extra bearings which are used to reduce/increase the rabbel size but can also be used on other bits with the same I.D.

I built a tool chest for under the woodworking bench and decided to inlet the back of the carcass with a rabbit to lay the back into. Since I hade already assembled the box, I needed this rabbeting bit. The bit worked great, cut like butter. The bearings themselves have an aluminum outer diameter that makes the bearing outer dimension. Yes, they look very cheap because they are, but they will not be running 24-7 for five years either, should probably be fine for the application.The cutting bit is huge and heavy (see picture) so run your router at a lower RPM. No storage for the bearings, other than the paper box; I deducted one star. Freud could have incorporated the bearings into that pretty box- now I will be doing that, increasing the price I have in the cutter set. I plan on embedding/ attaching a few rare-earth magnets to the base to hold the bearings. Other than Bearings in a thin paper box, the set is good and performed with flying colors on 3/4" birch plywood.
