I hoped it would give me an oil painting look with Gouache. It’ does. I accidentally bent the paper and ruined my mini painting. Be careful of that.

I use a lot of these pads and would like to vote five stars. They are pretty much as advertised. Other than aggressive tooth and a mild tendency of the glue edge to develop stray strands this is a great tool for studies.

I've never seen canvas in a tablet form before. This is high quality, fine, canvas that works very well with acrylic paint. It would probably also work with oils or watercolors. I'm glad I bought it.

Being a prolific painter for my own pleasure I use these pads to keep my work in one place, rather than have many canvases to store. I have six filled and it's nice to look though to see what progress I've made.Good quality for my preferred medium (acrylic) at a not too expensive price. I highly recommend!!

This is a very high quality product that feels like soft canvas cloth gently gessoed white. It drapes like actual cloth and absorbs water and medium like actual canvas. This is really good for studies and holds paint very well in a way that suggests you could use it for finished works that you could then later frame. No complaints at all.

I take the pad with me when I go anywhere. It is much more portable than half a dozen canvases. I am only an amateur painter but I do like to paint on canvas not paper. So this is perfect for me.also each canvas is a standard size and it is very easy to buy frames for them if you want to make your work look good.

This canvas pad is the only one I've used that "painted" like an actual canvas. It lays flat and doesn't roll or curl without taping it down. I use this for paintings I want to scan (digitize) because I don't need to pay for a canvas scanner to get it digitized. Once scanned I sometimes mount the canvas sheet on a wooden frame like a regular canvas. Word of advice: If you want to do this, be sure to buy a larger size canvas pad than you want for the finished painting as you lose the edges when you mount it on a frame.

This is an excellent quality pad. The pages are excellent quality canvas with a good texture that is comparable to professional stretched canvases. The prime is smooth and white with no notable imperfections. The edges of the canvas are evenly cut and don't fray. The pages can be flipped back behind with an even surface left to paint on. They do not easily tear out when flipped back. There is a sturdy cardboard piece behind the pages that allows painting without an easel. I did buy the Sargent brand canvas pad as a comparison and found no significant quality differences. Though The pages had a more even surface after being flipped back with the Fredrix pad. Otherwise the most significant difference is price.

These canvas sheets are great for both practice and finished works. I use them for Acrylics. They have good tooth and take the paint well. From thin, watery underpaintings to thick layers they hold up well. As a bonus, if some study turns out well and I want it as a finished piece I can just have these matted and framed.I take the whole pack and give them various underpainting washes to get rid of the white and when ready to paint I already have the undertone there.
