Franklin pickleball paddles are great! This is a 16mm size paddle which is thicker than my Franklin 13mm paddle and I love both. With the 16mm paddle my shots have more power and it’s very lightweight which makes my reaction shots faster to return. I’m a comparison shopper and this paddle has been a great find and the price was the icing on the cake!

This worked as my second paddle as I learned pickleball. The texture is rolled or sprayed on and wears off fairly quickly. As I progressed I needed something with a more integrated texture like the Kevlar or carbon fiber paddles. That said, if you're unsure about pickleball and are just trying to get a paddle to try out spin and see if you like the game this could be the way to go. You might want to wait for a sale to purchase it.

Great paddle! I feel like it’s the middle of the road for intermediate players! We definitely notice a difference in our play!

Great for beginners or intermediate players. I liked the thicker option because it’s more stable. Has lasted me almost a year, would recommend if you play often to invest in a good paddle to help your game

This is a great paddle! It's the same paddle that Ben Johns used when he was sponsored by Franklin. 16 mm thickness is great for resetting the ball. Highly recommend this paddle if you want to move your game to a higher level.

If you are or was a tennis player, you know that some times a sliced shod is necessary. Same with Pickleball. This paddle, it just gives you that spin effortlessly. Has an intermediate player, I’m enjoying this paddle very much. It tucked me 3/4 days to get used to it but, my game did improve.

So this is a decent midrange pickleball paddle. I got quality play from it for four months. Surface bounce was consistent and it had a decent feel to it. It was a better paddle than the cheap Selkirk I learned on. I play 4-5 times a week so it lasted about sixty play sessions. The. On a relatively ordinary shot the handle snapped. It’s about a month outside the 90 day warranty. The “max” grit lasted less than half the sixty play sessions. At this points it’s smooth. Would I buy another one? Well I will contact Franklin and if they replace it and the replacement lasts longer…maybe. If they don’t or it doesn’t then no I would not.Update: Franklin replaced my broken paddle. The replacement has lasted 5 months. The “max grit” is now smooth as silk otherwise the paddle is performing well.

I read the reviews before buying it. I saw a bunch talking about how these break. I really wanted a pink paddle and unfortunately this one is defective as well. It’s making a really bad sound. I’m also over the 30 days to return it.
