A well-known brand for stretcher bars. Quality item at a great price. This set offers a variety of sizes, which are most widely used.

I wish I had known about these years ago! They are much easier to use than hoops and I hope to get a stand soon that I can attach it too! I also plan to order longer stretcher bars than was in this purchase.

What a great idea. A set of stretcher bars for needlepoint. All usual sizes, very nice smooth quality wood. A complete choice of different size bars at a very reasonable price. Any product by Edmunds is excellent.

I like using a stand to hold my needlepoint canvas. I've developed arthritis in my hands and have been doing needlepoint and all sorts of embroidery for 40 years. Buying this assorted sized stretcher bar set and accessories has been a game changer. The wood is light enough in design to mount easily to my metal stand in any configuration of multiple sizes. The needle and thread is the only thing I need to hold in my hands. For anyone who spends time doing canvas work, this is the way to go.

Great for beginner and advanced needlework. Easy to use and so many different size combos for the price. We’ll see how it holds up to multiple uses, but for now, it’s a fantastic buy!

A little tricky to figure out assembly. Not the fault of manufacturer. They need to connect tightly, so it takes a little muscle. Work well after assembly. Well finished, no slivers. Nice size assortment.

I like that there are a variety of lengths of bars you can combine to handle whatever size you need. The joining parts take some care to attach but gentle tapping with a mallet nests them up tightly. Ditto for taking apart. I think they could break if you use a lot of force in putting together or taking apart. I liked that they stayed square. I used push pins to pin my embroidery piece to it, stretching it very tight. I had to adjust it a couple of times during the project, pulling out the push pins and pushing back in and tapping with a mallet. The whole thing worked great and taking it apart for storage is nice. I will get years of use from these!

I love these things, and prefer them over scroll frames and Q-snaps. They hold tension wonderfully, and don't need to be constantly fiddled with while you're working because something has slid out of place on you. They do leave giant holes in your fabric, but if you're leaving yourself a big enough margin for framing or finishing anyway, this isn't a problem. The modular design is nice because you can make the frame any size you need it to be. My tiny hobbit arms have a really hard time working on anything that's tall enough to need the 12" or 18" bars on the sides, so I only use those for width. Anything taller, I bust out the scroll frame. These are great for working and for finishing if you want to do a canvas stretch with your finished work. I've started using the rattiest bars from my collection to do canvas stretching because after a while, the tack holes do become enough of a problem to make them difficult to work with. But they're cheap enough that I don't mind replacing them when I need to.
