Great tool to use for your DIY projects, for framing pros, and for homeowners in a build to check on their construction project. Easy to use. Well made and durable. Not super heavy but not a piece of junk. Highly recommend.

previously I bought a cast metal one of these jigs that was only for one measurement, this is nice because it is adjustable, it is nice that with this tool you can do 16 and 24 inch.

This framing tool seems to be well made. It is easy to use. I got it because I plan on finishing my basement at some point and this will help greatly making the framing as I don't have a ton of carpentry experience.

Review for Framing Tools, Stud Master 16 Framing Spacing Tool Adjustable 12 16 20 24 Inch On-Center.I was really excited to get this product. I do a lot of my own home repairs and construction, and I love any tool that will make my job easier as I work alone a lot.With new construction, you usually use one of two ways to mark your wall's stud placement. 1) You can cut a piece of 2x4 and use it as a spacer between studs as you nail in the studs. 2) Or you can cut a piece of wood that is 16" long and use it to mark along the top board (top plate) for where you want to put your studs.With either method, it is easy to get your measurements a bit off as you build the wall.This tool eliminates that problem. The studs are held securely in a slot on each end so that you can use a nail gun on the top board (the top plate) to secure the studs on your new wall.This tool is probably not what you will want to use if you are not doing new construction. When building a wall in an existing structure that already has a ceiling in place, you build a wall differently, as you will toe-nail in the studs. This tool isn't made to toe-nail in boards from the sides. It is made to nail from the top plate down into the stud, such as with new construction.This framing tool looks well made. It is made from metal and has pre-set points to position the stud holders for precise measurements. When I tried it out, it acts like a third hand by holding the studs straight while using a nail gun to attach everything together.I am happy to add this framing tool to my tool collection.

I ordered this as I plan to add a walk in pantry to my kitchen, which will require putting up a wall. This little tool will be handy as I will be able to get the framing done a little quicker instead of having to stop and measure with a tape measure to get my 16 inch on centers. It is made well and is durable. Would recommend this.

This Framing Tool is an excellent value. Since it dispenses with the bit for the bottom/top plate, you can use it for just about any frame where you want to move along quickly and accurately. I had framed out many structures the old-fashioned way over the years. Carefully laying out the locations of every stud on the sill plate, measuring and marking off their center-to-center locations. Then carefully centering and securing a stud in each of those locations. A very tedious and time-consuming task, but the Stud Master framing spacing tool makes all that tedious measuring and marking unnecessary. With corner studs in place, set the Stud Master for the center-to-center spacing desired-12, 16, 20, or 24 inches on center- and you are ready to install all the other studs without any measuring and marking. With the Stud Master 16, you get exactly equally spaced studs every time without using tape and pencil. The Stud Master is a labor-saving tool that will put money in your pocket because time and labor is money. This brilliant tool paid for itself the first day I had it.
