The FOXPRO Prowler is a Made-In-The-USA digital game call and is a great choice for predator hunters on a budget. This compact model weighs only 1.45 lbs. with batteries and features a carry handle with lanyard loops, making it easily portable. The tripod adapter allows for elevating the Prowler with the available FOXPRO Handle Stand (not included) or your tripod. The ABS housing also makes it extremely rugged and durable.
The Prowler comes standard with 75 Premium FOXPRO Sounds for calling Coyotes, Fox, Bobcats, Mountain Lions, Raccoons, Crows, Hogs, and more. It also includes over 100 sounds from the FOXPRO free sound library for a greater variety of sounds. The Prowler features a mini-USB port for adding additional sounds and can store up to 300 sounds.
The Prowler features a comfort grip remote control with a large red backlit LCD screen and durable glow in the dark raised buttons, making it convenient to use both day and night. Buttons on the remote are Power, Menu, Vol Up and Down, Scroll Up and Down, Play/Select, Mute, User 1 and User 2. The sounds are displayed in categories, such as Coyote, Fox, Bobcat, Rabbit, Bird, etc., making sound changes easier than ever. For example, switching sounds from a Coyote Howl to a Rabbit Distress is as easy as selecting the Rabbit Category, and then selecting the rabbit sound you want to play. The Prowler remote also features a Favorites Category, which allows you to store your favorite sounds at your preferred volume level for even easier switching of your sounds. The User 1 and User 2 buttons are customizable and allow for one press access to Favorite Sound Selections, Decoy On/Off function (with FoxJack 5 or X Decoy), Backlight, Stand Timer Reset, and Recall. A lanyard loop is built into the remote control allowing for easy addition of a lanyard, such as FOXPRO’s XD8 lanyard (not included). The Remote-Control Range is over 300 yards line of sight. All of this makes the Prowler the best budget digital game call available today.
If you want more volume from the Prowler, simply connect an external speaker such as the SP- 60 and SP-XHD Speakers available from FOXPRO to the included speaker jack to increase your volume capabilities.
The Prowler also features an Auxiliary Jack which can be used to connect FOXPRO decoys such as the FoxJack 5 and the X Decoy (sold separately). The FoxJack 5 attaches directly to the Prowler in place of the battery door, turning the Prowler into an All-In-One Caller and Decoy combo. The Prowler remote allows for remote operation of the FoxJack 5 or X Decoy. Simply press the programmed user button to turn on the decoy and press again to turn off the decoy.
The Prowler operates on 4 AA Alkaline batteries (not included). For cold weather operation, FOXPRO recommends the use of Lithium AA batteries.
Buy with Confidence. The FOXPRO Prowler comes with a 3-Year Warranty and is backed by FOXPRO’s unmatched customer support.

While the sounds Foxpro sends with this unit are mostly for hunters (dying rabbits, distressed crows, etc.) there is plenty of storage space for other sounds downloaded from the internet. I have great fun teasing various critters right here at home. Songbirds, bobwhite quail and owls come to investigate. Crows absolutely riot if they think another crow is in trouble on the ground! Most people have no idea how many clapper rails are hidden in the tall marsh grass until you cut loose with this thing. You'll immediately get answers from all over!

Small, lightweight, huge lcd screen. Almost no reflected glow from the screen. (Less than your night vision) Great sound from such a small call. Stand timer! 175 calls preloaded. This thing works great!!! Battery life is about 8 hrs. More than enough. Simple to operate! Made in the USA. Go Pennsylvania!

I programmed the caller as per the instructions and then attempted to update the transmitter, again, per the instructions. The transmitter refuses to update/sync so I effectively have two lumps of useless plastic.Zero help from FP.Don’t bother purchasing.

I use this two ways:(1) Scare off squirrels and raccons from my bird feeders(2) Attract bobcats, coyotes etc to my trail cameras. It can be VERY loud or soft, it can play a large variety of animal sounds AND you can easily upload other sounds into it from the internet. The remote has a pretty long range. Five stars for this!

Works great. Best bang for your buck as a beginner call. Plenty loud enough for most fields.

Software to load calls is so bad, it doesn't really matter how good the call is. I think the call it self is fine. Plenty of volume control and the range is fine. The remote can be a little finicky but it's usable. The software and the process to load calls on it it so bad, it's buggy, about one out of ten times does it actually work with out messing up the call or changing the file names. The software reminds me of programs from 15 years ago in style and functionality. I am not sure if there is a better option out there, but I would look before I settled on this one.

Purchased this mostly for the large display on the remote and light weight, and both are as expected. What I didn’t expect is the sound quality and how loud it plays. Little to no distortion even at 20, the highest setting. Remote has good range and mutes and changes calls instantly. I’m able to put this light weight caller in my backpack when hiking to remote areas. The 4 AA batteries lasted for 8 half hour calling sessions before need to change out. Approximately 100 calls. So far very happy with this product.
